Academy da Vinci Clock Set

My father LOVES clocks! He likes old clocks especially. He also loves building things. This combines building a model with love of neat clocks. My father couldn't wait to build this. He said it went together well and was well built. Item arrived before I needed it which was also a plus. Thank you so much!

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend because he loves clocks and I figured it would be a fun little thing for him to put together. I knew that it wasn't going to be the highest quality product and mostly got it because he thought it looked fun. It doesn't keep time because the weight is off but he still had it on the wall because it's a cool looking little device. If you are looking for something functional I would keep searching.

My nephew loves a challenge and he enjoyed putting this together. He loves the science behind the way the clock works. Great gift.

But cheaply made. 12 y/o grandson had to be very careful putting it together to not break the pieces. Also he was max disappointed that it only runs for a couple of seconds before needing resetting. This is one of those -- think it looks "cool" gifts but is in fact impractical and probably a waste of everyone's money. A dust gatherer!

Mine came with Korean instructions and a photocopy of English instructions.Pros:-Fun to build-Looks nice on a desk or wall-Cool to watch goCons:-Doesn't keep accurate time, the hour hand moves about an hour on the dial with the big gear installed (or 18 hours with the small gear) in 3 minutes of real time.-Each winding only lasts about 3 minutes.

Instructions are in a different language but it's was still stpuer cool

This would have received a higher rating if unit that was shipped would have been "as shown". This was not the "english version" as the box was in a different language. Had there not been english assembly instructions with all the other languages, would have sent it back.

I purchased this as a Christmas Gift for my grandson. He was thrilled. The only problem and the reason for the 4 stars is the instructions are in Chinese. He will follow the pictures to put it together, plus I looked on line and can find enough images in English if needed.
