How is the bulb inserted

Very easily. The globe has a hole in the top, which you cant be seen when bulb is installed. You install the bulb into the socket which has three prongs fitted to it. The three prongs hook into three holes around the hole. It is really very easy. Would recommend and looks great.

It should have came with the light shade ... Both of mine did!

Can it fit a big bulb?

Yes, I put a normal size bulb on it! Make sure it's a 60W though. Hope this helps you! 😊😊

I've put a small white LED bulb in mine but it glares when the light's on,doesnt look subtle like the pics.Can anyone suggest a better option please?

I use the energy saving light bulbs. You don't get a glare with them, also you get a lovely pattern on the ceiling when light is on.
