A: No.  The water would not pass through it.  If you were wearing a swimsuit made of this fabric, the water would get stuck in the swimsuit and kind of slosh around because it can't get out.  This would be uncomfortable.

A: No it only had burgundy when I purchased

The color is perfect to add even more visibility on my bike.  I will use this to cover the battery on my EVO pedal assist bike when I ride in temps below 50F.The shipment arrived quickly, too.  Much appreciated.But might I suggest that you use a lint roller before you send out yard goods?  Do you have a strawberry blonde cat?
