At first I purchased name brand Dell's. Then I purchased this one at a greatly reduced price. It has lasted about a year and half which is the same time the name brand cartridges did. Four starts because the print was not as dark and for the last few months, it keeps saying out of toner. I have to take the cartridge out, shake it and put it back in and the message goes away. It is time to replace it. It is used infrequently and no way has anything close to 6000 pages been printed. But that is also true with name brand. With the price difference, less than half the cost of name brand, I will continue to buy this one.
