Silicone Placemats

We ended up buying three sets (6 mats) for the sake of having enough to match the whole family at the dinner table. I tried a couple other "nice-looking" mats that advertised as non-slip, but none of them ACTUALLY held onto our smooth table surface at all. So, we keep a nicer set for when we have guests. But for all our family meals, breakfast lunch and dinner with just us, we use these. It's been a few weeks now and they don't show any sign of wear. They wipe down really easily (or rinse in the sink if I let something get hard/dried on..), and they are QUITE slip-resistant. So, that's a win for us. The only down-side I'd say is that I wish they had a hole in the corner design or a tab for the purpose of hang-drying them. For when I DO need to rinse down the entire mat, then both the front and back side are wet, and it makes it quite difficult to dry them. I lay them over the back of a chair, and then after the top is dry, I turn them over to dry the underside, and THEN I roll them all up to put them away.

These were PERFECT for playdough center at school. The slightly raised edge gives a boundary. They are easy to wipe down and stay in place when in use. To store, roll them al together.

This product is definitely slip resistant, however it is not fully toddler proof. My child was able to peel it off and throw his food around. This may be more suitable for children who are old enough to not play with their food, in which case it would be great to catch crumbs and other meal time mess and make for easy clean up. This product can be folded up easily for storage as well as to take to a restaurant. Good quality and comes in fun colors. I’ll be using this more once my child grows out of his exploration phase!

These are good silicone mats. Keep in mind, silicone mats are different than a "traditional" placemat you're used to. They're grippy and not as easy to wipe clean on the table as a plastic mat, but they can be scrunched up which makes cleaning it in the sink easier. The fact that it grips is good because it doesn't slide all around the table, but it's also a good attractant of particles and hair. I've used a lot of different placemats but I like this one the best because it's easy to pick up and fold (especially if there's spilled food) and then dump into the trash or put in the sink to wash it. Drying these is harder than plastic since the towel tends to grip on the surface, so I highly recommend just letting it air dry and the best way to achieve this is to hang it on something. I have a drying rack and even threw one over the spout of the sink to dry. I would love an XL version of these mats because they're too small especially for toddlers who can't contain their food to a relatively small rectangle.

We needed some placemats for our kids and they needed to be thin yet durable enough. We have bought several of these over the years from nearby stores but many stopped carrying this particular brand. So when we saw amazon had it we flew to grab these again. They are durable, foldable, easy to clean, easy to place down and stick to our tables (1 oakwood like table and another childrens table that they are able to use magic erasable markers on, these silicones stick right to that table without curling!) It has the little edge around it to keep spilled liquids from rolling onto the table which we love.

Got these to help manage the transition to plates and bowls. They looked like nice placemats so I ordered a pair. Getting them out of the package was the toughest experience I've had with child products. They acted like they had cured together, peeling apart with so much effort I expected them to tear. The effort left stretch marks on the mats (even with slow, even peeling) and when you wash the box dust off they stick with wild abandon. They do hold a bowl in place and keep a mess sort of contained (walls are really short) but I would look for a heavier duty mat for longevity. I do a lot of mold making and casting and being familiar with silicone and it's personality I'll probably just DIY another one when these rip. Something these should be applauded for is the EXTREMELY consistent thickness which is really hard to attain yourself. If these were twice as thick and had the matte finish on the bottom as well these would be great.

We bought these silicone place mats for a cruise we went on and they worked great. - they come in a set of 2 so we always had a clean one - they are very easy to clean. We just wiped them down and then washed them when we were able to - we would take them to all our meals so that our son had a clean spot to put his food and didn’t make a huge mess all over the table for us to clean up after - they are stretchy and really easy to roll up or even fold up so we just threw them in the diaper bag so they didn’t take up much room. -they have great suction so they stick right to the table Overall we loved having these on vacation and I would definitely recommend even if they are just used for everyday use at a restaurant or just at home.

Loved these until one got a hole and my toddler ripped it. Held the dishes from sliding. Stuck to the table well and stopped spills and was easy to clean.

These mats are small, but they are of good quality. Although they are meant to be used as placemats for toddlers, I bought them to put under my cat’s dishes. They work very well for this purpose, sticking nicely to the floor and being completely washable.

This is a great product, sticks to the table mats, is easy to clean & keeps the table clean. In fact, it's so good, we bought 2 to cover 2 of our grandchildren.
