One: Inside pockets could be deeper. Two: The straps on outside should have just been snaps, the buckles are a pain. Three: The strap while adjustable is great the square metal attachment at the one end likes to go sideways. Maybe just have a round one instead. Four: Would have been nice to have a pocket in back too, or a pocket on one end for phone or car keys.The material inside & out is great, but it seems like was only thought of as a book bag, not a purse. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ better quality than ive seen on some other chinese knock-off ... *by A***S on December 30, 2014* better quality than ive seen on some other chinese knock-off products. studio ghibli doesnt market this kind of thing (even though they absolutely should), so it goes without saying that this isn't a licensed product - which means build-flaws and some scattered Engrish.having said that, i will say that this is one of the better forgeries, with only a few minor flaws. overall the build quality is sound and the materials feel very solid. i bought this as a gift for a friend who loves the movie and it was a hit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy open! *by D***Y on May 2, 2014* I love this bag. It's small enough that I don't feel like I'm carrying a heavy backpack everywhere, but big enough that I can fit a comp notebook or manilla envelope in there without bending it out of shape.The bag appears to only open with the straps, especially because it arrives with the straps undone. But if you pay attention, those little metal circles on the straps actually snaps. They pop off easy, and feel very secure when snapping them back into place.The front pocket opens with closes with a strong metal zipper pull in the Totoro theme(really nice touch). The only gripe I have with this pocket, is that is extends a bit to the back of the bag, so I often lose stuff in the "hidden" area.It's also got a small front pocket right under the flap that's about 2/3's of the bag's height, and all the way across side to side. Holds more than it looks like it can.The main pocket is huge with a little zippered pouch on the back side that takes up maybe half of the width, not the same zipper pull as the rest of the bag, but still good quality. The main pocket also has two smartphone sized pockets that will cover enough of your phone that it should stay in place without too much hassle. Heavy phones may fall out though.The strap is comfortable and adjusts quickly, it fits me well(5'1) and my boyfriend(6') quite well. My only gripe here is that the metal rectangle thing that the strap goes though sometimes turns sideways. It doesn't do it nearly as much as some other shoulder bags I've had, but I suppose it's just the nature of a bag of this type.The canvas material is very strong, but lightweight, and the color matches the picture very well. The decal is affixed so well, it almost seems woven in.Overall, I say if you are not sure whether or not to buy this product, go ahead and do it. It's well worth the money.
