Excellent chart!
This card is sturdy and useful in tracking a slowly-deteriorating eye condition. A very useful purchase!

Perfect
Old chart was broken and chipped, needed a replacement. This has more of a matte finish than the old one, so there's no glare on it and that helps the patients read it. Great price, great product.

Depends on why you need it - they have no clue about what they're selling
I ordered these because we have to use Jaeger charts in the nuclear work that we perform. Our near vision requirements require the candidate to read the smallest characters on a Jaeger chart, and the size of those characters, not including the ascenders or descenders (e.g., "j", "g" or "y") has to be within a certain size range. Those letters need to be between 0.22" and 0.29" in height in order to determine if the person has near vision capabilities of 20/25 or better. When I received these charts, I used a 10X comparator to measure the height of the letters. Unfortunately the smallest font measured about 0.40" in height, very easy to read but way bigger than anything that would help determine near vision acuity. When I contacted the manufacturer, Prestige Medical, it took several phone calls to even get them to understand what I was talking about, and they couldn't even tell me how the charts are supposed to be used to determine a certain level of visual acuity, like what letters need to be read at what distance to determine what their near vision acuity results would be. They finally reached out to the company in China that makes them, and that company said all they did was print out what Prestige Medical provided to them. The person from Prestige Medical finally said that they probably shouldn't even be selling these charts because they don't know enough to do it right. They said they got calls to see if they sold them, so they figured that there was a market for it and included it in their product inventory, without even understanding how they are used by the end-user. The person even said that they should stop selling them. I wish they would. If you need a Jaeger chart for anything other than just fun, or to see if you can read a chart, don't get this one. But if you can read a typical book, you already know more than you'll know by using these charts. Without any instructions to equate certain letters, at a certain distance, these are useless. At least they refunded my money.

Small print on top is great for trial framing
Difficult words for less experienced readers. Still nice to have for trial framing presbyopes.

No Instructions!
Nice little chart but No Instructions! There is no way to tell what the numbers mean. They don't say J1 etc. just No. 1 etc. Are they the same as J numers and where do I find a chart telling what theey mean in 20/20 etc.?
