Great Aid - Handy - Great to Have On-the-Go
Well, Really, the rating I would give it - if I could be more precise - would be a 4.5 - 4.75. There just is that little "something" that doesn't quite make it a 5, but it's close enough! While not celiac, I have been eating Gluten-Free for almost three years now. Initially, it was quite the challenge. Today, it is much easier...in that I find it easier to find ways to eat a Gluten Free/Gluten Free-friendly diet. Though, once or twice (in about a year,) I would take a SMALL bite or two of something that had gluten - if I thought it was worth it.In walks this enzyme...well, I actually just "happened" across it. I had heard of enzymes that assist with the digestion of gluten previously (I had a college roommate who was "extreme celliac," and she was eating something once that was *very* glutenous; I asked about it and she said she had enzymes. [This was before my body rebelled and decided it didn't like gluten.]) Thus, after two and a half years and change of not eating gluten, to come across this - an opportunity to "try" an enzyme that might allow me to eat something SMALL once in a while, or even to "cover my bases," I was eager to try.I am happy to report that I do NOT regret it. In more recent months, there is a weekly "lunch" that is provided (for those who want it) at the office where I work. I was told that (at least) one of the items [theoretically] doesn't have gluten, even though it's a food with a "flour" coating, it is a "gluten free"-friendly flour (well, she thought she knew the flour, and to my understanding, the flour is a GF alternative.) Nonetheless, I still take two of these when I eat them (pakora (sp) - and Indian food.) Unless I eat them too fast, or eat too many (becoming overly full,) I have no issue. This is a case in which I use the enzymes to "cover my base(s)." I don't mind since I only use two - sometimes three [if I am feeling "off" that day but still want a few pakora] a week.I will say that I do NOT use this as an excuse to purposefully eat gluten-enriched foods, or as a means to "get around" eating gluten foods. Granted, every now and then, I will allow myself a small amount of gluten in what I eat, but I do well to restrict it to ONE food item, and that it is a small amount, aiming to proportion well the amount I'm consuming to how many capsules I'd need to take. The only "negative" or downside to this product is that while it says "One capsule helps to digest 20-some-odd grams of gluten," I struggle with what that exactly means/looks like; thus, I struggle with if I'm actually "over" taking or "under" taking capsules for those moments of "splurge" or times to "cover."*These have come in handy, too, when food I've consumed as *seemed* GF, but I have decided to error on the side of caution and take one or two...in a pinch (not 'planned,' as the pakora are.*I also like how easy I can decant and/or just throw a handful in an former prescription bottle and take them with me on-the-go...such as to work for those "weekly lunches." :)

Works exceptionally well for lentils, cauliflower, and artichokes.
I've taken a number of digestive enzymes over recent years because I had issues with digestion during pregnancy when babies were pushing my digestive system into squished little areas of my abdomen. After realizing how nice it is to have a little extra enzymatic help when digesting things, I have taken to eating a digestive pill like this whenever I'm eating something that is a little hard on the digestion such as cauliflower, broccoli, lentils, or artichokes.I was surprised at how much better this brand of enzymes and the specific product was than many of the alternatives. My previous standby was source naturals, but this one seemed to do a much better job of allowing me to eat these very healthy foods without any digestive discomfort. I appreciate that it doesn't have a foul smell like some types of digestive enzyme do.

Great Product BUT.... Can it be in stock??
Hey all,My preferred brand of pills is great but tragically it can fail to arrive...Lipace is huge for the quality of the product. Jarrow has the highest I've found and combined with Immodium AD and Bean zymes have been the basic suppliment for an alternative to $5.00 pills.Tragically, they have supply issues:----- Forwarded message from "JarrowOnline" <[email protected]> -----Date: Fri, 03 May 2019 15:24:43 +0000Subject: RE: New customer message on May 2, 2019 at 5:16 pmTo: <xxxxxx>Hello,Thank you for your email. This product will be back in stock on 5/10/2019.If you have any other questions, let us know.Thank you,Jarrow Formulas----- Forwarded message from "JarrowOnline" <[email protected]> -----Date: Tue, 14 May 2019 16:12:13 +0000Subject: RE: New customer message on May 14, 2019 at 6:05 amTo: <xxxx>Hello,Thank you for your email. This product will be back in stock on 6/28/2019.We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any other questions, let us know.Thank you,Jarrow Formulas

Good, but...
I tried this for a couple of months (with my doctor's approval) as a replacement for a very expensive prescription strength medication and found it did work fairly well, but I had to add extra Alpha-galactosidase (the active ingredient in Beano) for more comfortable digestion. I found that NOW Pancreatin works better for me, along with the Alpha-galactosidase, and am sticking with that combination. However, I think this is worth a try because everyone's system works differently. Check with your doctor and experiment to find out how much you need with each meal.

IT'S VERY EASY TO SWALLOW
I haven't taken it long enough to know if it works like other enzymes. It seems to help in digestion, but it doesn't completely eliminate indigestion.

I had a normal trip to the bathroom and felt fine all night
I took one of these with a full glass of water before i ate a piece of gluten free pizza. Sometimes the cheese bothers me a little. After eating the pizza, I had a normal trip to the bathroom and felt fine all night! Other times I have tried the enzymes I haven’t been able to tell if they help or not. Sometimes I’m not gassy but sometimes I still am. But maybe I should’ve taken two instead of just one those times.Helped during a big thanksgiving meal and for Christmas. Didn’t feel miserable afterward.

Can definitely tell a difference.
Definitely helps me digest breads. Without getting too graphic, I can tell a difference in my digestion when I take it vs. when I don't. I don't have Celiac disease or any other specific gluten sensitivity. I take this on the recommendation of my acupuncturist simply to reduce the overall inflammation in my gut.

Good for Small Amounts of Gluten
I take this when I want to try a small amount of gluten. I am gluten sensitive not allergic so I can have small amounts of gluten if I am careful. This just gives me more piece of mind when I try small amounts.
