I waited until the end of pool season before I gave a review. As others commented on the packaging. I agree it’s not ideal and I felt lucky that I did not damage the filters while removing it. I was still using the original filters from when I had the pool installed - 2009! My in ground pool was staying cloudy and not staying clean. I would agree that after 5 years of use - change out your filters! My pool water is now crystal clear and sparkling!

I am not sure if it is an authentic or a knock off model, but it was easy to install and worked just fine and resolved my issue .My previous filter was leaking DE and small debris into the pool and as soon as i replace the filter all the debris disappeared fast. it has been working fine for a month,By the way, my pool service guy wanted to replace it for $$200-$250 for the labor and the filter itself was $100 more expensive in store.i was going to pay them but since they did not have time to do it on the weekend that i wanted, I decided to purchase it on amazon and do it myself.it takes 3-5 minute to install and maybe 10 minutes to put the gasket back on. it's a quick task. just watch a video and do it yourself.

My old assembly was worn and cracked. 24 hours after installing this replacement there was a marked improvement in the water and the pump pressure drop from 24 psi down to 10. This was the first time I've worked with the filters and the all-in-one made it very straight forward. I watched a few YouTube videos to gain a bit of confidence - and had no issues (except lack of upper body strength which made getting the old filter out a bit of work. Accepted I going to get converted in algea-drenched DE, then it went very smoothly.). I also got the 2 o-ring replacements.The package was a bit banged up when it got here, and the box it was in was a bit shady- two smaller boxes taped together. It didn't inspire a lot of confidence - but a really close inspection and there was no damage.I would buy it again.

I’m a pool professional and installed this item recently. Item is low priced and quality. Only issue was the shipping container. This is a fragile item and I was concerned about packaging. I was hoping to contact seller to make the point but didn’t see that available so I’d do it here. Be VERY Careful removing element from the shipping box. It was a 2 piece box stapled together. The problem was that the staples were sticking out in contact with the fragile element. Thank God I didn’t cut the filter while taking off box. It did grab the element but did not damage. Filter working fine but just wanted to bring attention to the packaging issue so it can be resolved. Great price. Fast shipping. Just be Very careful unpacking. Thanks

I couldn’t get my pool to clear up and I noticed when I was putting DE in after back flush some would end up in the pool. I pulled the old filter out and noticed it was brittle and the fabric was in bad condition. I ordered this one along with the tank oring and other oring for the filter itself where the manifold slips over the pvc riser. Put it all back together, added the required amount of DE and literally by the next day my pool looked way better. By day 2 it looked crystal clear and ready to swim. I should have done this last year as I fought the high phosphates battle all summer long and as I think about it it was probably the filter that was my problem allowing particles back into the pool and not filtering them out. I recommend this without hesitation although I paid more than I use to when by bro worked for PENTAIR 😂😂

Perfect fit and much better quality, replacing my 15 year old unit. Took less than 20 minutes to replace. After recharge, 40000 gallon pool water was clear in just a few hours. A day later, the clearest ever! The materials and construction is superior to my original Pentair FNS Plus model 60, P/N 190029. This was easily replaced and a complete unit. Simply insert the top breather, and pop it in. I used a deep well 22mm socket, on an air tool to open and close the filter housing. So glad I found this on Amazon, much cheaper than the local pool stores. Ease to install, on a 1 to 5 scale, 1 being easiest.... I'd give it a 2. Replace your whole insert if just one fine fails, because others will fail once they start to go. Not worth a partial repair, just get this unit! It is truly complete!

These grids are definitely worth the money. They are a great quality. Don’t buy the cheap ones.
