Unboxing was good, they give you everything packaged up neatly and everything is included for set up. Setting up lights, run your plugs FIRST, that means plot out where you want your power supply plugged into. Make sure where you start your lights you have enough chord to reach the outlets of the lights themselves. The chord comes with a splitter for the lights themselves so you don’t have a bunch of unnecessary chords running up your wall or wherever. Once you have plotted out, unroll the lights and begins peeling 3M VERY CAREFULLY, like make sure the glue is still attached to the lights and you are only peeling the glue cover, if you pull the glue off with the 3M paper you will not be able to stick them up without another fastener. I started from the end that doesn’t have the female port I guess it is up to you.. once you start a peel don’t peel all the way, peel in sections as you place he lights to the designated surface. Lastly plug lights into power already ran power supply, mine took a little fidgeting and re plugging but they finally got power and have rocked the room ever since. As far as functionality goes, Alexa works great with them but she will only change the light colors to a hand full of preset color names, try preset colors already preset by philips hue bulbs, ie crimson, turquoise, salmon, and obviously the basic primary colors and it will work to your command. It works great to music, just have to use the app to get that feature along with the dreamcolor feature. The dreamcolor feature isn’t like each individual bulb is a different color but it does do a great job at letting you pick an array of colors in which it will display in sections. For example, if you want red, green, red, green, for Christmas, you can create that yourself within the app, it will do the color scheme in sections of the strip (yes it covers all the lights completely) it just isn’t the individual light pattern of red, green, etc... there is a “energetic” option for the music option for the lights that does a great light show with a ton of different colors spread out through the strips, which is pleasing. The last feature which I thought was the coolest is you can create a custom color scheme in which the lights move to the music to as well, so if you like pinks, reds, oranges, and purples you can customize those colors to move to the beat of a song. Super awesome feature, those customizations also have more options within them, always remember to hit the APPLY BUTTON when creating a custom DIY option... it won’t finalize the option until you do hit apply. Ok, that’s it! Hope this review helps anyone as anal as me about spending my money on this stuff. These really give you the best functionality for the price, and YES they work GREAT with ALEXA.

I have many Govee lights in my home for over a year now, and give them 5 stars for several reasons. 1. The light strips and bulbs are excellent. Easy to set up, strips are bright, colors are consistent. The music feature does actually work so long as you don't bury the controller. They are well made and don't feel like you will tear the LED strip with the slightest touch. Govee releases regular firmware updates which, over time, has made the lights more reliable and stable on WiFi. So long as you don't stick them to a dusty, dirty surface, the adhesive holds very firm for both the strips and the controller. 2. The phone app. At first, the app was a little lacking, but Govee has continuously updated it to improve functionality and stability and it is now very good and fully functioning. It allows you to customize the lights just about anyway I can think of, control them individually or as a group (if connected to Wifi). I have read that it doesn't like iPads, but not an issue for me. 3. Excellent Customer Service. One of my lights stopped connecting to WiFi. Clicked on the support link in the app and within 24hrs was connected to a tech. After a few unsuccessful attempts to reset etc, they sent a brand new replacement unit out, free of charge. Can't ask for more than that! I am sure that Phillips Hue have more accurate colors, but they are also 4 times the price. Govee lights are bright, wells made, work well, backed by good customer service and get regular updates. Great value in my view.

What can I say about this product. I usually don't write reviews but, I feel it's my civil duty and would be a shame to not leave feedback on such a great product. Let me tell you this isn't my first LED strip purchase, and probably wont be my last. From here on out though, I will only go with govee. These are not just any ordinary LED strips. Upon unboxing of the product you realize the difference in the quality of the strips. Although these aren't as subtle as others I have purchased, but they are of the highest quality. They are a bit bulky only due to the fact they have a clear protecting covering that protects them from several different elements including water. They are water resistant except the remote controller attached to the end of the strip. Something to keep in kind when or if installing outdoors. They have built in Ic chips that let's you customize the settings within the govee home app, available in your respective app store. You can customize the patterns, which they have many to choose from, or if you don't like any of the presets built in you can customize your own settings to your liking. Everything from the patterns, to the colors, to even the brightness... And man, let me tell you, these strips provide beautiful rich colors. I have the brightness set at 1% and they are still brighter than other brand LED strips I have installed in my room. If you don't want to install the govee app you can use the attached remote to cycle through the preset colors and modes although you wont get the customization features. Now, all this is great and welcomed but this isn't the deal breaker. What did it for me was the customer service. One of the strips turned out to be faulty and stopped working so I contacted customer service. They were wonderful and nothing but helpful, (thank you claire). They promptly sent out a replacement, and while I was expecting to receive a replacement strip they went above and beyond and replaced the whole product! It's hard to find great customer service nowadays but govee blew me away. I recommend if you have any issues with your product, don't reach out to them through Amazon, use the govee app and contact them through there. They will send a replacement through Amazon though and I recieved it in just a couple of days! If you are looking for high quality LED strips with lots if features that goes hand in hand with 5 star customer service, look no further, Govee is here for you. I hope you all enjoy your product as much as I enjoy mine. Thank you Govee! I have attached a video, the led strips above are regular LED strips, and the ones below towards the floor are the Govee strips. You can tell the difference but unfortunately videos and pictures don't do justice. You just have to see for yourself!

To start off I thought the 32.8 feet was a great deal for the price. Especially the fact that it provides you with plenty of cable leeway to get your setup right is an even bigger plus. The lights connected to my Wi-Fi with no problem, even though it runs off of bluetooth. The controller also lets you easily turn on the preset lights without having to use the app. I loved the options of playing with the app, and also I love that these lights support multi-colors instead of one solid color like some other light strip options. I thought that once the lights were where I wanted them to be, it was a very easy setup, except for my main issue... I would give this product 5 stars, however the main problem I had was the non-existent adhesive. I would give the benefit of the doubt to the product however because I bet they would stick well on other surfaces like cabinets, tvs or bedframes, but it was not even close to being able to stick onto my wall. My bedroom wall has a rough pattern with all those rigged little random designs on it, and this is not compatible at alllllllll with the adhesive on the product. In order to fix this issue I had to go out and purchase 3 packs of 1/4 inch double sided tape from 3M. I then had to put these double sided tape strips along my wall, and then peel off the lightstrip adhesive to then put on top of the double sided tape. Once I did this, it was stuck like chuck. With these amazing double sided tape that I bought I doubt these lights will ever come down. It was kind of a pain to set up this way but it was way worth it. I'm looking forward to seeing how long these lights last in terms of bulbs going out or fading. It wont fall off my wall anytime soon so I'm glad for that. With the final product I am extremely happy, I think I definitely got a great product for the money I spent. Just be aware that you might need that double sided tape to reallllly make it stick well. You can find 1/4 double sided tape from 3M at any Auto parts store or online here at Amazon I'd imagine, they go for about $11 each pack for 15 ft.

After reading countless reviews of every LED brand I could find and having suffered with cheapo strips and remotes that die on you after a month, I finally sprung for these and am so glad I did. I'm impressed by the quality of the strips themselves - I've suffered through poor quality ones before, and feel like these are a step above. I haven't hung them up on the wall yet (still working out the design), but the adhesive looks solid, and the quality of brightness is fantastic. Now that I have a remote that works via an app on my phone rather than the 2-bit thing that dies on me, I feel like this is a lighting system that I can control and play with to my heart's content. I love that it comes with presets, that it gives me enough variety in the color for any mood, and that it can sync up with music is just such a joy. The combination of light quality and music syncing guarantee that I'll be buying another strip soon (ah, this is how it starts...) because I love them that much. It take a lot for me to write a review, and only of something I love. These lights, I adore them. They bring such a simple bit of love into the room, and it makes me smile every time I see them on my walls.

I have been looking, and you are reading this you have been too. There are a freaking lot of choices out there, and it’s so hard to choose. This is the one. I say that because I see the quality backed by my personally proven customer service ( I did have an issue with the the second kit that I purchased and their unbelievably amazing customer service made it right, and they did it pretty much no questions asked and got it done right now), then the flexibility of the LED kit. The uses are countless, they truly are water proof, the app on the phone is very user friendly, the lights are way brighter than expected, the adhesion is genuine 3M, and it works I’ll tell you that with some extra clips for even extra support (which I honestly didn’t even have to use those) with a ton of options of what you want the lights to do with the colors that you want, you seriously just can’t go wrong. I promise this is the best kit with the most easy to use contro you can get without having to build something yourself and program a Raspberry Pi or something like that, and if you do go that road, it’s going to be way more work on the programming part. This kit gets you as close to that flexibility as posit without having to program a Raspberry Pi.

It took me a long time researching LED lights to see which would be the best for my application. I’m using it inside a built in cabinet that I converted into a bar. There are so many brands out there that it really is overwhelming which one is the best one for your particular application. I bought this light based on the premise that it could controlled with Alexa, an app and hardwired controller. The packaging and instructions were of high quality and were reassuring that I made a good choice. The actual lights themselves were much higher quality than I anticipated. The lights are not at all flimsy or cheap feeling. Just the opposite. They are thick with a rubbery texture. The 3M adhesive is strong, just make sure to wipe down surfaces with the included alcohol pad. And although it’s not entirely clear, you can indeed cut the light to a custom length at designated spots along the light. Once installed, I downloaded the app and registered for an account. The app itself is okay. Not great but not horrible. Set up was relatively easy and the lights respond to commands relatively quickly. I haven’t paired it with Alexa yet, but based on the price and high quality of this light, I can see myself getting more Govee lights around the house.

I am writing this review in regards of Govee 32.8FT LED Strip Lights RGBIC, WiFi Wireless Smart Phone Controlled Led Light Strip 5050 LED Lights Sync to Music, Work with Alexa, Google Assistant, Android iOS (Not Support 5G WiFi). I have purchased 4 boxes of these. First off let me start by saying, I had what I believed to be a material issue with a control box and a hardware version control. I contacted govee via email with my concern and after several days of constant very positive communication and my proof of purchase, they sent me a replacement part free of charge. I am very pleased with their customer service and their desire to make sure I was happy with my products. That alone will ensure my future LED purchases will be with them. Now the light strips themselves are amazing. I bought them for both of my daughter’s rooms and I can say I am jealous. My wife purchased additional clips to hang them so we did not have to use the adhesive backing. We did this to ensure future installations if necessary or desired. The color and scene options are amazing and makes my Philips Hue White and color ambiance lights pretty much obsolete. My only obstacle now is convincing my wife that we need them in our bedroom. I am really pleased with the product and very pleased with their customer service. I don’t normally write reviews but I really felt their customer service needed to be acknowledged and appreciated.
