Snot sucker for Covid congestion
I used a cheaper version with lights and sounds for my first kid but the vacuum got clogged with snot so I had to throw that one away. This one has a better design. The suction may not be the strongest but it fits comfortably in the baby’s nares and does it’s job. My 1 year old had a ton of congestion with Covid 19 recently and this was a life saver for him. Pros: soft design for nares Easy to clean Cons: Large device to hold One could argue a bulb suction gets better suction Low suction capabilities Overall, I would buy this as a gift to any new parent and I have 2 kids myself.

I have an autistic almost five year old
The reason why that’s relevant is she doesn’t have any self care. I mean ZERO. So there’s no blowing her nose included in that. Cleaning her nose with a bulb syringe just doesn’t work, and the snot sucker you can forget that. Try holding a 40 pound kiddo that hulks out when you do anything she doesn’t want to and only have two hands to try either of those. This completely cuts that need for a third or fourth hand. When I say hulks out people always underestimate her but last ER visit as we tried to get an EKG it took four medical professionals and dad and I that’s six and she still bucked us off. She gets legit hulk strong. It’s quick and easy to use while restraining your kiddo. She hates it and screams while it’s used but is always happy when I let her go. She gets some big crusty boogers high in her nasal canal that I couldn’t get with other nose things before. My 1 1/2 year old son hates it but it works. I tried it on myself to make sure it wasn’t too much and it’s not. When it stops sucking as hard you need to change the batteries. You know by the sound of the motor and the amount of air coming out the side hole. You’ll learn by using what normal sound it sounds. I suggest rechargeable batteries. I use it often though so I’m not sure how often I change them. At least once a week. But this is an autism home and we live off double As here. A lot of autism parents can attest to quite a large collection of rechargeable batteries always on hand. Best investment ever the batteries that is. Amazon basics have some inexpensive ones we must always have a surplus of. I’d advise to always use saline first as if your nose is dry it can make dry passages bleed lightly. That’s super rare though and only happened once as I use saline before each time. I do feel that the part that has the exit air hole in the side can smell horrible after time, and the top rubber part can get discolored. But all in all this product is legit. This autism mom approved.

Don’t buy this.
This thing sucks, but not like it’s suppose to. It suppose to have two suction powers; you can’t tell the difference. Plus, it doesn’t remove anything at all. Try holding down a squirming baby and holding down the button (another flaw with this model) and getting nothing. The booger can be right there and this machine won’t suck it out. It’s faster and more effective just to stick your nail in there and scoop the booger out. Yes, I had to do that on my three month old; it was gross, but it worked far better than this contraption. Now, I’m stuck with this useless $32 thing, that I wish I could return, but it’s been up my child’s nose. Thumbs down.

Beware boogers
Nice product, just doesn’t have enough suction. I should have been more aware of the different ones made by this brand and I would have got the higher suction. Excellent for getting out all that gunk from your infant and toddlers nose. Low noise and much better than the old time bulb syringe.

Great but annoying
Suction is great, pretty easy to clean if nothing goes wrong. By wrong I mean, that if snot gets sucked into the wrong portion, it clogs and messes up. Spits out the side where snot is not supposed to get. There is a “Max” line on the inside filter. Easy to understand, but even if I clean it out after every single use, it still messes up. It spills over into the part it shouldn’t be because the “snot holding section” isn’t big enough. My daughter isn’t even 2, but it seems like you have to have next to nothing come out for it to be ok. It works great at getting gunk out but not enough room to store for one single use.

Bye bye bulb sucker. Hello happiness.
Love this thing. I bought it for my infant daughter because the bulb syringe wasn’t cutting it and there was no way on this green Earth I was going to use a straw type one to suck the snot out of my kid’s nose. Does she hate this thing? Yes. But does it work? Oh yeah. And it’s not too strong on the suction. I tested it on my hand and it didn’t even leave a mark or indentation. I then tested it on my very opinionated toddler and even he said “that isn’t so bad.” It’s easy to clean even though I gag every time I have to. Also, while my daughter hates it it is definitely faster and more effective. I’d rather have her nose cleared faster using this device than taking forever to use a bulb sucker while trying to pin down a wiggly unhappy baby.

Amazing!
The suction power is way better than you’d get from either a bulb syringe or the manual nasal aspirator. Does a great job sucking most of the snot out. The reason I gave it 4 stars is I have another hospital grade one that really gets the snot, but this one is also good. Super easy to clean and small enough and easy to handle when your wrestling you tiny terror who thinks you’re trying to kill them when all you’re trying to do is help them breath.
