I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Express that I really wanted to have the ability to play CD's. Yes, I have satellite, AM/FM, but I have hundreds of CD's too. Yes, I tried ripping them to a USB drive which was time consuming. Yes, I looked at MOPAR factory CD player upgrades which woul have required tearing up my dash, hours of installation headaches and $500. So, less than $200 I ordered this unit..............WOW!!! CDPLAYER1 per the ordering list shown Took 5 seconds to pull out my USB drive and plug the unit in. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. It takes a few seconds for everything to work. Then....CD music!! Upside, super easy to install and use. Plays store bought and copies of music CD's. Downside, it does not show the artis name or track name that I can figure out, does not show the album cover artwork like a factory head would but I'm good with that. It may work different if you have the larger more sophisticated head unit, I do not.

For 5 weeks after this arrived, I had glorious CD sound in my car, and I was thrilled with it. Then last week, it stopped reading some CD's. And today it stopped reading all CD's, even ones it had successfully played before. All in all, I probably played 10 CD's on it, so, at a purchase price of $162, that's about $16 per CD. Another reviewer also mentioned that it stopped working after 2 months, so I guess I should have heeded that warning. Edit: It's now 4 months since I purchased, and I actually still leave the player connected in the car, because every once in a while (about 1 time in 10) it will actually decide to read the CD that's currently inside, and I can listen to it for a bit. One thing it was never able to do was read any CD with more than about 19 or 20 songs on it. I think the indexing function might time out before it finishes scanning. This purchase has made me appreciate all the stock car CD players that we used to just take for granted, because apparently no one remembers how to achieve that same build quality.

Needed a CD player for 2024 Bronco Sport. Super easy to install. Takes 20 - 30 seconds to index cd to internal info system. Works on most cd formats but not all. Fits in Bronc cubbyhole in dash.It does not tell you what is name of album or song or artist, but I can live with that. For the money....it should. Decent sound quality. We'll see over time how this lasts. There is not much else out there for this function. New info. had this unit since Dec. of 2023 and this unit has gone downhill big time. Many times it will not eject a disk properly, and many times it will not sync with the cars radio and gets message that it is not compatible. Reseating the usb connector sometimes helps, sometimes not. Do not wast your money on the china piece of junk.

How hard is it to plug in a USB cable? I always give it 20+ seconds before I change tracks after first starting it up, per instructions. No problems, and I love being able to play my CDs in my car. I tried a mobile cd player that does not connect to car stereo, the sound quality is huge, obviously. The CD player does not skip, I hit a few potholes (not on purpose), all good. It's a little pricey, but it's the only option for newer vehicles with no cd player, and it works great!

I did a test & the unit was not recognized by the car's stereo. I tried both USB ports & could hear the unit power up but no joy. For some reason I inserted a CD & presto! The unit sounds great & all the CD controls are on the screen like a factory CD player. If I had read all the literature that came with the unit first, I would have seen that some cars need a CD player inserted for the unit to be recognized by the car's radio. Duh. Well 18 months later the unit quit working. Probably from being left in the hot car?

This is an okay CD Player but it skips when you hit the slightest bumps. I ordered it to put in my woman's Dodge Ram pickup. She took it out and went back to her USB drive.

The USB cd player works in a Tesla Y. However it can not play all my cds (I don't know why). It's a pitty that modern cars don't provide cd players anymore.

Perfect solution for newer cars that the manufacturers decided against their customers needs. This unit installed perfectly and easily in my 2022 Hyundai Sonata with no problems what so ever. Car recognized the cd player and player recognized my car. Very good quality but pretty pricey.
