It it very thick, and has a good weight. The blade was lightly oiled and it had a card that said it was hand made and had the persons name one it and stated that they hoped I liked the blade that was made for me. I’m used to seeing this sort of thing from products from China on little printed cards... this note was hand written. Knife came well oiled and wrapped in plastic. Not a speck of rust. You can tell that the handle is hand polished. I can also see (bottom edge) that the blade was silver soldered or brazed to the shank. Bolsters only held on with 2 small pins. Bolsters have damasus look but I don't see damasus on edges. Blade looks to be real damasus. sheath is all leather. Horn handle scales have a couple of hairline cracks where they were drilled for pins.
