Great for kitty car travel
I purchased this (the 24" version) via Amazon in preparation for moving across the country (TX to MI) which, with a cat, takes about 2.5 days of car travel. I've found it to be a fantastic purchase for several reasons. My cat is between 8.5 and 9.0 lbs, and most hard-shell cases just aren't big enough for her to stand up and stretch, so I didn't want to use my old one for anything more than a quick trip to the vet. This GoPetClub 24" carrier is VERY roomie for her, allowing her to stand, stretch, walk in circles, curiously peek up front, sleep/hide in back, etc. It still fits in the back of my Honda Civic...fits easily if going long-ways across the backseat, and can fit facing forward if I move-up the front passenger seat before loading the carrier, and then move the passenger seat back into position. The carrier is soft all around, so if/when jostled, my cat doesn't bump against anything hard. Admittedly, it can be a little awkward to carry when she scoots all the way to the back (or front) because her weight isn't balanced, but this is a pretty minor issue. We normally load it on a luggage cart at the hotel anyways. The windows have shades that roll down on the sides so you can let your cat see outside or close her off to rest, depending on her temperament at the moment of course! As noted in another review, I was worried about "accidents" as well, since it's a soft bottom. I didn't know that there was particle board beneath, as noted in that other review, so I'm glad I haven't had that problem yet! When I first took my cat in it, I lined it with a puppy pad (training pad used while house-breaking a dog, VERY absorbent) just in case; you can get them pretty cheaply on Amazon, though you may end up with a whole bunch you'll never ever need. :) My vet also suggested buying a cheap plastic picnic-like table cloth at the local dollar store to put underneath the whole carrier to protect the upholstered car seat. I trusted the puppy pad, but I figured someone out there might like the idea. :) I've been very happy with the carrier and would gladly recommend it to anyone. The dimensions listed on the specific Amazon page -- length, wide, and height -- accurately matched the product that arrived, so I have had no need to contact the company and experience their customer service. It seems that if the wrong item were shipped, it would be Amazon's fault, and most people seem to regard Amazon's customer service as very good. If the wrong item were ordered, that would seem to be a user error, and although perhaps the company's customer service is poor as detailed on one review, it's a risk I was happy to take, given the quality of the item, the great price, and the fact that I saw dimensions specifically listed which I felt would be appropriate for my pet and my vehicle. Happy shopping!

Awesome item!
I rarely write reviews, but I was so pleased with this carrier/crate that I needed to review this. I bought this to contain my 9 week old, 10 pound dogue de bordeaux puppy. I take Mia back and forth to work with me. She isn't crazy over car rides. She cries and howls the entire way there. She's also impossible to hold while I drive, not to mention it's not very safe to hold a squirming puppy while driving. I did my homework on amazon...checking all my options as far as price, positive reviews, and size. Most carriers were too small. I wanted something that my pup wouldn't outgrow in a couple of weeks. I ordered the Go Pet Club soft crate and it is perfect! It fits nicely on my backseat. I flip the one carry handle over the rear seat headrest to keep it in place. It doesn't move at all. There are 2 zipper sections, one on the end/side and one on top. I just open my back door, and pop her in through the side zipper door. There is tons of room in there, and lots of growing room. I figure she'll be able to ride in there until she's 5 or 6 months old, which is perfect. She will hopefully be able to sit and enjoy the car ride by then. This crate / carrier comes with a thin, soft removable pad/mat. Assembly is easy. Just stand it up. There are 2 rods on the inside top sides that snap together to keep its shape and give it stability. These come back apart so that the crate/carrier can be stored flat. I am very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend this product.

Good and ROOMY
I just bought this crate in the large size (37x30x42) for my ~75 pound Rottweiler mix (she's 23" tall) to take to agility trials. I almost purchased the medium size -- and I probably should have (but better too big than too small, especially when purchasing something so large online). This "large" is huge. It is plenty big enough for her -- in fact both she and I (I'm just over 5' tall and weigh 110 pounds) can sit inside the crate comfortably with the door zipped shut.... Set-up is a breeze -- just a zip on the front panel and a zip on the back panel and it's standing up. The little windows can be rolled up with mesh screens for the dogs to see out and to get a little air. It folds completely flat and comes with a carrying case to store it in with handles to carry -- much easier than lugging a wire crate around at trials/shows. My Rottie girl is a little skeptical of it right now (but she's never seen a crate besides wire ones), but she will go in it willingly and doesn't freak out when it's zipped shut -- I think her biggest problem is the fact that it's dark inside (I'm considering sticking one of those push lights inside for her). The crate seems well made and the fabric is sturdy enough for our use. As with all soft-sided crates, this one is probably not made for chewers or dogs who do not like being in crates -- mine is perfectly happy in one (in fact, she LOVES being crated). The "mat" it comes with is simply a piece of plastic covered in fleece -- so if you want something super soft or fluffy you'll need to invest in a better crate mat/bed. I just threw my pups blanket over the fleece mat and that should be good enough for her. I ended up buying the next size down of a crate almost identical to this (the only difference is that it doesn't have the domed top) for our trials and selling this one to a classmate of ours that has a very tall poodle - it's still a great crate - I loved how it only required two zips and it was set up, but it was just far too large for our use. I also found out that this one was too big to fit in the trunk of my car (Mazda3) - even folded up it wouldn't fit because it was too long - I still had to put the backseats down so it was a good thing I went for a smaller size! That smaller size was awesome for our agility trials - as would this one be if you had a large dog that required this large of a crate (we saw some Great Danes and German Shepherds with this exact crate at the trials).

Perfect carrier.
Update: 4 years later and these are still amazing. Even though we use these to take our cats to the vet, they love these. They were perfect for our two cross-country moves and one is in permanent use in our home to hold the cats’ food plates so the dog can’t get to them. Reading back on my original review, I’m surprised that these are the small size, my two cats fit in them side-by-side and one is a big boy. These have held up great with constant use. Original: We purchased two of these for an upcoming cross-country move so that our cats could be secured but still have a lot of room over the course of the trip for movement. We bought the small size and let me just say, these are huge! Make sure you get out a tape measure and actually measure out how big this will be. That being said, these are great. We haven't had the cats in them in the car yet (we don't want to do that until the last possible minute), but if you put two of these side-by-side across the back seats (the long way), they fit (just barely--in a mid-size SUV) and you can buckle them in (sorta). I like that they come with stakes to secure it to the ground--that wasn't even something I'd thought of, but I will probably take the cats outside in these someday. Overall, these are surprisingly sturdy. The front and back sides are the only sides that have supports in them, and it all zips together, but they hold up really well and come with a carrying case. The material seems like it is a good quality, and I like that the windows can be rolled up (and the door too). My cats also seem to enjoy the little mat that came inside.

Nice quality, has a funny smell at first
Pros: Loved how compact the carrying bag is and how easy it was to fold/unfold. Didn’t realize it came with a little fuzzy mat but it has a zipper to easily remove and wash which was nice. Looks like a good quality canvas, definitely requires a crate trained dog or they can easily dig and chew out of there. I think it’s a great alternative to a strong durable crate for the dogs who are traveling, minimally in crates, or maybe just need it to sleep in at night. Cons: Fresh out of the box it had a strong chemical/factory smell to it which was not that atypical for a canvas item but still smelled bad. My dog hates how low the door is. He won’t really go through it without a little treat or being coaxed in and on the way out he can’t walk out standing upright and has to bolt out and gets nervous. The length is great and it looks bigger than it is, but the height is an issue so I have to return it for a taller one or else my dog smashes the top of his head when he first stands up. A bigger size should fix most problems, but I think it’s a great enough quality item to just swap for a bigger size and that’s it

Yes... But.
Yes, this is a well made, soft sided crate. The 38 " is large enough for an adult Golden Retriever. It's easy to set up, easy to travel with. So, here is the "But". I bought this crate to use in my bedroom with my golden retriever puppy - we have a wire crate in the kitchen, and this was just an extra crate so we could have him sleep in our room at night. This worked great from 8 weeks when we brought him home until about 14 weeks. He likes the crate and up until 14 weeks had settled nicely. Being in the bedroom, I was able to hear him immediately when he needed to go out in the middle of the night, and although he pawed at the screen mesh in the front when he wanted to get out, I was right there to take care of him so there wasn't an extended time for him to try and rip it or chew it. Then one day at 14 weeks (at about 20 lbs), he didn't want to go to sleep and discovered he could flip it over if he jumped/leaned hard enough - especially forward. After trying a few more nights to make this work, it just wasn't safe for him to be in anymore. I'll save it for when he is an adult, presumably calmer and we want to travel. For now, he's in the kitchen at night (and amazingly quiet) and I've ordered another wire crate for the bedroom. Of course, I hope by the time he's about six months, he won't need the crate in our bedroom at all, which is why I had tried to get away with the soft sided mesh type. So, I was successful in using this crate while we needed it most - in those early days of adjustment and frequent night awakenings, but it is not a solution for the "teenage" years. I would absolutely never leave my dog unattended in this type of crate, unless the dog was an older, calm, well-trained dog. So, my bottom line is that if you are looking for a soft sided crate, this is a good one - but be sure the soft sided type is what you really need.

So glad I purchased these!
Best purchase! These zip right up to form a lightweight kennel. Both fit in our ford edge for traveling and now we don’t have to lug around the wire kennels. So much easier!! The “bed” in them are very light, so I took the beds out of our wire kennels and threw them in there. So happy with this purchase! Love that a carry bag wa included, so when you’re done, they fold flat for easy storage.

Not bad, if your pup don't chew!
We used to lug our yellow lab's 42" metal crate with us wherever we went. He's still a pup and hence a bit of a chewer. The metal crate was cumbersome to load into our SUV, rattled like crazy during the car ride and took up half the rear passenger space. We knew there had to be a better solution. A quick search for "travel crate" brought us here. We looked at several crates, the first one we bought (also a GoPetClub) was too tall to fit in our SUV so we returned it and got this one. The AC40 is a bit smaller than your average 42" crate but there's still plenty of space for our 72lbs lab to turn around and find a comfy spot. The frame itself is very easy to setup and once the bars are connected (one on each side) it is very sturdy but still light and easy to handle. The external accessory bag is a good size and can hold leashes, treats, and water bottle easily. There's a rollup mesh door and sunroof and what appears to be a short leash. The included crate pad has a soft faux-wool cover over a corrugated plastic board underneath, it isn't soft by any means but it sure beats sleeping on a cold, hard surface. It seems designed to be easy to clean in case of any accidents. The biggest drawback is that the interior of the crate has too many places where a bored puppy could get his/her chew on. The short leash hangs inside and there are a few too many exposed flaps and seams. We do pull the short leash out through the sunroof when he's crated and also treated the exposed flaps and seams with some bitter apple. So far nothing has been chewed off. Some other drawbacks - there isn't a solid outer panel you can zip over the mesh panels to give your doggie some privacy or shade. There aren't any tie down loops at the corners so I'm not sure why there's even a short leash. I doubt the material is water resistant. I wouldn't plan on using this for a camping trip unless the weather calls for completely clear skies or you can bring another tent/canopy just for the dog. Overall we are really happy with this crate and would recommend it if your pet isn't big on chewing, is crate trained and your use case doesn't involve outdoor adventures with the chance for inclement weather.

Great for travel & dog trials!
Excellent ... exactly what I was hoping to get & fulfills our needs perfectly. Used for my dog at trials. Lightweight, easy to store & easy to set up. Ordered a medium for my larger dog (~80 lb shepherd X) & it is sufficiently roomy. She just chills inside between rounds. Love it! <3

Gute Transportbox
Tolle Hundebox.
