KYB 565125 MonoMax Gas Shock

I installed these on a 2013 Suburban LT 4x2 without air ride suspension. This is a heavy vehicle which is why I went with KYB MonoMax over the Bilstein brand. I've used both, and this model for me has just held up longer on a heavy vehicle such as a suburban. I don't take it off the pavement much, but I have improved the horsepower and torque with lots of other aftermarket and performance parts. I use to get a lot of body rock when I would accelerate. Since I put these on, the ride quality is very nice, and they have cut down the amount of body rock from acceleration.

Great shocks! Work great for larger SUV’s, no more body roll .

Just what I was looking for, If you like a stiff ride or you live in a city with bad roads and you have large wheels on your suv. Keeps the wheels from bouncing.

The shocks seemed okay when installed. They worked. I expected more "serious" damping and control, since they are the top of the line models from KYB with "...Maximum performance upgrade with up to 40% more damping performance than standard shock absorbers" and "Truck monotube design outperforms all other standard shock absorbers". They worked until recently when I saw one of them obviously leaking slightly and now an actual PUDDLE of oil from the shocks after parking in the garage for a week. Now Amazon doesn't seem to honor the lifetime warranty that KYB says they are supposed to be covered by. I guess maybe I had 2 years maximum. Buyer beware!

Awesome product has made a huge difference in the rear suspension of my truck! I drive my avalanche like it’s a Silverado pulling trailers and heavy pods on a daily these shocks have increased my confidence in doing heavier loads.

Fit as they should. However, I am not seeing the increase in performance that others reported. They is a slightly noticeable change in the roll of my Tahoe. I am going to leave them on as I do not want to change them out again.

Been a professional auto tech for three decades.The kyb monomax is the best shock for any truck,or suv.Body roll is greatly reduced when switching to these.

So far so good. Very easy to install. My only complaint is I wish these were black and that the rubber boots didn't require the use of zip ties. But none of which is worth stars off.
