I've been taking some form of protein powder for over a decade. Recently, I've looked for an all-in-one powder that I can take after workouts as well as before bed or throughout the day if I get hungry or need a quick meal replacement. This is as opposed to taking whey after a workout, and casein before bed; I just got tired of buying multiple tubs of protein powder. This product fit the bill nicely. I look for 4 things when picking out a protein powder: 1. Nutrient profile: This has 25 grams of protein, and includes a mix of whey and casein, which is what I was taking before in two separate products. It also has 5 grams of carbs, which is fairly low (I'll buy anything with single-digit carbs, but the lower the better). 2. Flavor: Tastes good. I usually get protein in either chocolate or vanilla, and I got the chocolate Combat Powder. It doesn't have any weird aftertaste or grainy flavor, which is a problem sometimes. I usually mix it with water, and tastes about as good as protein mixed in water can taste. I'll occasionally mix it with milk, which tastes even better. 3. Mixability: Mixes well in water or milk in my shaker bottle, with no clumps. A little bit sticks to the side, which is normal. 4. Price: Price was pretty good. Under $40 for over 50 servings of quality protein is a good deal. It's not the cheapest protein powder, but is among the best-priced protein for what you get.

I’ve been using this protein for almost 3 years now. I’m not one to write reviews, but when I’ve used something this long and it’s worked this well, it deserves it. The blended protein sources in this mix make it super satisfying and easy to be in a calorie deficit because it really holds off hunger. When I first started on my fat loss journey/muscle gain journey I started using this protein and it’s been my go to through all of my different goals. I’ve used it for maintenance, bulking and cutting. During Covid I took a long break from the gym and now I’m back trying to lose some additional fat and this was the first thing that I re-purchased. I think that over the past three years there have been a few times that the formula has slightly been changed but regardless it’s still the best tasting, most affordable and most effective protein I’ve ever used. My boyfriend started using it and he is a huge chocolate milk fan, he literally said that he would rather drink this than actual chocolate milk. So I think it must taste pretty decent? Anyway, for the price, you can’t beat it.

This is a great protein Powder. It mixes really well with water and milk. I prefer milk. I only gave it 4 stars because whenever I made a milkshake with bananas, milk and protein It gave me crazy gas. That Is the only downside. Overall its a great powder, It doesn't make you feel bloated and the price is not bad either. I'm an amateur lifter (5 years exp) tried several different powders and this isnt anything that knock your socks off. Its a good overall protein. Since this is a good tasting protein you have take it several times a day and still tolerate the taste. Me personally, I only take protein once a day because I cannot tolerate the taste of ANY protein. But this one is ok. If you take a protein once a day you are not going to see any changes unless you weigh 120lb. If you take it 3 times a day along with your regular diet you will surely see changes. I have tried taking protein once a day and also tried taking protein 4 times a day. You will pretty much maintain body weight if you take it once a day and since I am in school 12 hours a day studying. I needed a small meal replacement thing so this is convenient for me. If I was trying to bulk I would take it like 3 or 4 times a day.

This protein powder is like that overachieving kid in class—80% of it is pure protein goodness! Seriously, it doesn’t leave that chalky, “I just chewed on a sidewalk” taste in your mouth. Instead, it has this delightful flavor that makes you wonder why every meal isn’t just a protein shake. I mean, if only broccoli could taste like this! I'll definitely buy it again, unless my taste buds decide to take a vacation to Flavor Town without me!

Ive tried at least 6 brands before this, none blend as smoothly and none taste nearly as good. Im now through 16 tubs of the stuff and gained almost 15 lbs of muscle.

I just started lifting weights in December of 2019 again after a shoulder injury. I know MP has a good reputation for supplements so I decided to try the MP Combat. The chocolate flavor is great, not too sweet for myself. It has different types of protein as well which is a plus. I take it after my workout usually with one scoop sometimes I will double scoop. I workout 3 times a week with a friend and we motivate each other which is huge when it comes to weight lifting! It is the end of March now and I have seen some gains, not huge gains mind you but pretty good so says my friend. After a workout I also have 5 to 6 eggs with white rice for my dinner and that really helps with gains. The only thing that sucks about this protein is sometimes you get gas that smells like eggs lol but other than that it is a great product! If you have trouble getting gains, stick with it at least 3 times a week and try and have a buddy with you for extra motivation because it really helps! I also use Insane labs creatine as a pre workout supplement and it helps with muscle energy so you can get more reps/sets in. Overall great product, haven’t had an issue yet. Also get a shaker style protein bottle and you won’t get clumps at all. Good to mix with milk as well! Highly recommended!

I’ve tried a good amount of different protein brands/flavors/types. Optimum Nutrition used to be my go-to for a couple years, but they kept having the lawsuits where they’d be found time and time again falsely advertising how much protein they actually put in their blend. Rightfully fed up with them, I started shopping around. I’ve tried ISO100, NitroTech, Cellucor, RedLine, and even cheap bargain BOGO stuff from SuppHunt. I finally found a good deal on the MusclePharm Combat cookies and cream protein. First time I had it, I genuinely thought there was nothing like it. It’s taste was so good, I thought it had to be unhealthy. It kind of reminds me of the taste of an Oreo McFlurry from McDonalds. Nothing healthy on the market like this stuff. The cool part is the five different types of protein in each serving make it good for those of us that like or want to have our post workout intake and pre-bed intake be from the same stuff. It felt good for muscle recovery, and seemed to work very well as a protein source. Snag it while you can. This stuff has completely replaced other brands. Flavor for Cookies and cream has to be 9.5/10. The only flavor from muscle pharm I don’t care for is chocolate milk. Peanut butter cup is also pretty decent.

This is an authentic product. It is not bitter. I will be using this again.
