After a month of daily use it's going very strong. Positives: - Very quick and not hard to get a decently consistent grind after a bit of use. - Looks nice. Good metal finish on the outside. - Not super loud I hesitate to call them negatives: - Not one press, hold to grind means you need to time the grind manually - A little fiddly to clean under the blade. Oil from the beans means the ground gets stuck under the blade a bit, it's not impossible to clean as you can rotate the blades but it's a little fiddly.

A great little grinder. It grinds enough in one go (25g) to make one mini cafetiere of coffee - perfect for me. Although not slow, it takes longer to grind than I expected so if you anticipate making coffee for many then bear this in mind and grind it in advance. There are 3 options to choose from; coarse to smooth - so just buy some good quality beans (and cake!) and you're on to a winner.

I use it to grind down herbs and seeds - I mean herbs like rosemary, not the devil’s lettuce - into powder - cumin, coriander, fennel etc. Capacity is small, a couple of tablespoons is about the most efficient quantity to get a good result. It does a very good job swiftly. One thing I do not like is that you cannot remove the grind chamber to clean it. It’s very awkward to wipe away the last traces of spice and you graze your knuckles on the blades.

When I reeived this coffee grinder from Amazon I was abit hesitant, it seemed a bit fiddly but how wrong can you be? I use it almost daily for grinding such things as pumpkin seeds, etc. It's ideal for small quantities. It's very easy to clean and does a good job. No complaints.

I was expecting durability from the UK household name of Salter but this item was a big disappointment. It stopped working after half a dozen uses. Then I put it away and forgot about it. Then it fell out of guarantee. Then I took it to a repair cafe and they identified that the micro switch had failed (the black rectangle on the first picture). Then I contacted Salter to obtain a replacement micro switch but said they couldn't supply one and they couldn't even give me a specification for it so I could source it myself. The item is badly designed (in my opinion and that of the electrician at the repair cafe). For example it's difficult to clean – surely a basic requirement for an item that bills itself as a coffee and/or spice grinder. I will not be buying any other Salter products again.

Good product

The first one of these that I received was faulty. The second one worked fine. It generally grinds well, although can leave some bigger pieces. It's a little temperamental—the lid has to be perfectly seated in order to turn on and it feels like it might be a point of failure. It looks fine, it's very difficult to clean well and there's no ventilation so you'll get steam if grinding anything hot. It's generally easy to use and does the job

Tyvärr så levererades produkten med engelska stickproppar som inte gick att få in i eluttaget. Köpte Adapter engelsk> svensk men funkade inte heller tyvärr. Båda returnerades. det borde ha stått i produktens beskrivning om att den har engelsk stickpropp.
