This is a wonderful mantel clock! It is elegant with a classic look and ambiance that fits beautifully into my living room and atop my bookcase. The chimes sound wonderful as well! The fact that the chimes have three settings, (chimes-chimes night mode-off), is a great feature. There is a volume switch also. It was a cinch to set up and it keeps time perfectly! It is highly recommended!

It's elegant and beautiful. Not overly fancy yet it's just the right type of class to enhance a room or office! You need two batteries though, one for the clock and the other for the chime. The chime battery runs out faster FYI if you use it. Highly recommend and great quality!

Very nice looking clock . Directions need to keep up with factory changes . My clock does not have a switch that will make the night time silence feature work . It only moves one click ON or OFF . Although my clock not only plays the Westminister Melody but counts the hours with 1-12 strikes . Reading other feedbacks that say no hour strikes setable silence hours it seems like you get what you get . Other than that it is a real nice clock .

Love it! Looks perfect and chimes sound beautiful

After looking at several mantle clocks I selected this one for its size and elegant appearance. After two hours it stopped. Exchanged it for another because I really liked the excellent craftsmanship and appearance. This second one ran for 2 minutes before stopping. Tried everything to get it started including calling Bulova tech support. Still waiting for them to return my call. Don’t know whether to try a third one or order a different one. The box was pretty. Made by Bulova. I couldn't believe my eyes; how beautiful this clock is. The perfect size, the perfect color. It is a quiet tickless clock. It chimes on the hour. I set mine not to chime between 12:00 a.m - 6:00 a.m. it is a beautiful chime. It is loud enough, I can see the time from across the room. I am so happy with my purchase.

Bought this clock to replace a mechanical Sligh clock that we had owned for 35 years but it needed repairs and couldn't find anyone to repair it. We reluctantly decided to buy the Bulova. Have been using it for almost 2 weeks and it has been keeping time perfectly. The chime sounds good. Not as deep as the Sligh but acceptable. All in all, very happy with this purchase.

Silent movement. No ticking. Love that. Chimes sound great and there is a volume control on the bottom of the clock. I set volume low so it could only be heard in my living room. It also counts out the hour. One tone for one o clock two for two o’clock. Etc. great clock

I ordered this clock as it is very similar in style (only smaller) of a clock that used to grace the mantel of my grandfather's house, and that I really liked. That clock chimed for everything: one chime on the half-hour, and a Westminster chime, followed by the number of chimes for any given hour. I like that this clock only chimes on the hour, with a Westminster chime only, no chimes to denote the number of the hour. Furthermore, it is not a loud chime. I can't hear it from my upstairs bedroom with the door open at night. One reviewer noted that the chime for this clock was a bit "tinny". Well, a bit maybe, but not to the extent that it ruins the clock for me in any way. I think that a louder, fuller sounding chime wouldn't really suit what is essentially a smaller version of a mantel clock. I believe I got more than my money's worth with this clock - I really like it and it suits my living room very well. I recommend this clock for anyone who is hopeful of finding a smaller version of a popular mantel clock style, and who doesn't want to listen to a lot of chiming throughout the day and night.
