///December 29, 2013\\\ How do i start? i am a first time system builder that did tons of "homework" on building my own computer so i decided to go with an intel proccessor and decided on buying this board because it was cheap. First of all This board's BIOS gives you the ability to use a mouse in it. which is nice and the EZ mode which is what it starts up into shows all of your voltage's and MOBO and CPU temps. once i got windows in it i loaded the disc which came with it that had all the major drivers in it and some software thats is for the board that allows you to monitor your Temps and Voltage's while on windows! also you can adjust your fan speeds whenever you want all straight from windows and it saves them. the only thing this board doesn't do is SLI. because the second x16 slot on the board runs at x4. but 2 cards in crossfire makes both of the slots run at x8. at least thats what i have found out. this board came with 2 SATA cables to use. ive checked all the slots on the board and all of them are working and none are defective. i will update this review for as long as i have this board. overrall? 5/5 ///January 28, 2014\\\ ive had this board for almost a month now and so far just 1 little issue that has happened once and hasnt happened again. basically windows showed that something crashed and i couldnt read it because the system froze up. but past that i have no issues with this board and it looks like its gonna hold up. the temp probe for the acutal board itself is always sitting around 15 Celcius probaly because my room is always like 40 F. but i will continue to keep this review updated on my experience with this board. I am not a gamer. I use my computers for business text and graphics work and a little bit of video. I don't like to sit around and wait for my computer. This is my fifth motherboard (Abit VL6 and Asus P2, P4, P5). I bought two of them to replace the older P5s. This was by far the easiest motherboard to install I have ever had. No jumpers to worry about. A great BIOS that you can navigate with a USB mouse. Clear indications of what the default values are. Very easy to return to a safe configuration if you get something too far out. It has a number of settings, and a Windows app for tuning the system to save energy. The Windows app let's you monitor MB temps, fan speeds, etc. as well as letting you make a lot of changes you usually can only make in the BIOS. I set one up with an I5-3770K and 8 Gig of Corsair 1600 memory and the other with an I7-4770 and 16 Gig of the Corsair. The I7 boots from a Samsung 128 Gig SATA 3 SSD. It is amazingly fast to load Win 7 Pro (<25 seconds cold start). The built in graphics processor is good. It gets scores of 6.6 on Win7s "Experience Index". If you want to do heavy duty graphics, add your own GPU. There are a couple of PCI-E slots. One shortcoming I haven't found a way around is that there is one BIOS setting for the SATA drives. You can have IDE, ACHI, or RAID. It sets all 6 SATA ports (2 SATA 3 and 4 SATA 2) at the same time. There are no IDE ports. Other than that, I haven't found anything I don't like about this board and a lot that I love.
