Seedscare Garden Care Flowers Seeds For Summer Season (Pack Of 10)

Background :I am from the southern tip of India where i grew with plenty of open spaces and a medium sized garden where i have grown whatever plant that appealed my fancy. However a few years ago i had to shift to Chennai for work. My rented flat here has a balcony which i have decided to convert into a mini garden. Bought plastic pots from amazon and ordered these seeds as i know these are the easiest ones to grow. All of these seeds listed here are perfect for hot and sunny locations ,drought-tolerant and produce colorful flowers. I suggest to any beginner to start with these. Planning to move on to more exotic plants depending upon this success.Packets : (25-Jan-2017)Received 10 packs as expected. All seeds are well packed and there are good number of seeds within each packet. The MRP of each packet varies from 15 to 25. The sunflower seeds are of sungold variety(looks like the teddy bear variety) and not Russian(taller ones). All others are as shown in the image.Germination : (Sown on 26th Jan)I have sown all seeds using up about 1/4th of the total seeds in the packet. I have used containers with fresh,airy soil. The marigolds germinated first, in about 48 hours. Within 4 days all of the varieties have started germination. I was highly skeptical of portulaca seeds, but even they germinated into tiny, almost microscopic plants. Water with care not to disturb the seeds and the saplings after germination.Growth :on Feb 2, first true leaves have appeared on sunflower/tithonia/balsam/zinnia. Really excited about the plants now. Have not used any fertilizer so far.Interim Update (Mar 03, 2017):All plants except Gaillardia are growing fine. Gaillardia looks stunted and some have yellowing leaves; not sure about the problem. Tithonia and sunflower are both more than a feet high now. Expecting early blooms in April.Will update once the plants start flowering.

Product description mismatches.Provided ipomea and kochia instead of marigold, thats good but gallardia and balsam is also switched with another one..Now after 1month I am really disappointed.. Each flower is single petals.. As per description it should be double mix.. 😥Packing is good. Seeds are also good. But all description is same for each type of seeds. Thats horrible..Germination rate is nearly 80%

The seeds are good and have a good germination rate. Although a bit disappointed by the combination I got I am happy that all the seeds germinated in 1-3 days.I got following seeds with germination timings:Zinnia - 6 packets - started germination within 24 hours.Balsam- 1 packet- 3 days for germination.Celocia- 1 packet- 2 days for germination.Cockscomb- 1 packet- 2 days.Portulaca- 1 packet- 2 days.I made a germination tray using old sweets box with a thin layer of soil and covered the lid with some holes on it. Moisture and favourable temperature is most important for any seed to start germination. I am happy with the quality of these seeds.Only cutting 2 stars for the combination I received.Will edit once got the flowers.

I am maintaining garden for last 40 years .This time I bought seeds online .only 40% seeds germinated .very disappointing

I bought these seeds after a thorough search for flowers seeds that can grow in north Indian summers. This is the best combination I found having the best selection of seeds. I am particularly partial to Zinnia and Balsam, when they bloom it changes the complexion of your garden.Seeds were delivered nicely packed, in 10 separate packets. Growing instructions and time to grow are written on the back of each packet.I used a mixture of cocopeat, vermicompost and bit of bonemeal to prepare the potting mix and planted all 10 of these seeds. I'm growing them in shade to avoid the searing heat.Sunflower was the first to grow, sprouted within 36 hours, balsam and Zinnia took just above 48 hours; withing 3 days all the seeds sprounted and has been growing steadily since then. I'm attaching a couple of pictures, will update when the plants are a bit grown.

Packets were intact but not exactly the seeds which is shown in the pic. Received two packets each of the same kind... Think twice before buying
