Get one, keep it in your bag.
Great tool! Does the job with no fuss. Replaced a compressor a few weeks ago that was a recip to scroll conversion that didn’t come with a repipe kit. Using this tool and no other fittings or pipe other than what was already in the unit, was able to do a very professional job of repiping that looked better than any kit job.

Works good as a backup expander
Not bad for the price point. Takes a few minutes to get it to where you’d want it, and you need to be careful to not over do it, because it is easy to crack the copper with this tool. I wouldn’t recommend it as a primary expander, but it is good as a backup or for tight spots. If you’re looking for an expander you know you’re going to use a lot, just spend the money on a Navac or Hilmor expanding gun.

Good tool
Works well you just have to turn the tool as you are expanding folding handle is nice way better than pounding it in with a hammer and honestly I think better than the cheap hydraulic ones never had enough money to buy the good hydraulic one though

Really good for what it is. Requires a bit of finesse
Is this my go-to tool for swaging? Absolutely not. I’d rather be using a hydraulic hand swager. But this tool will definitely go with my tubing tools for when I need it. Fair warning: it does require a bit of finesse. If you just shove the tool into the tube and crank it down as hard as you can it’ll tear the copper. You have to press it down enough to barely get the copper to stretch, then let off pressure and spin the tube a bit, and repeat until it’s the right size. Then you have to use it to kinda form the tube into a circle because it will come out ovular. Once you get the technique down it is capable of making quick and fairly consistent swages.
