I have an eye pencil that has a plastic base. I was nervous that this cheap sharpener wouldn't work well with my plastic eye pencil, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it worked just fine! It can sharpen multiple sized pencils, and does a good job catching the pencil shavings. I haven't had any issues with the cover opening on me like other reviewers have reported. For a couple of bucks, this is a good deal IMO.

Sharpener is pretty good. I'm taking off one star because it seems to eat up a lot of the pencil in just one or two turns.
