Would this fit an adult, or is it just for kids?

This is for a small child only and painfully flat and hard. The full Clone helmets and the Boba helmet were perfect for an adult or older kid.

Can you see through the helmet?

Yes. You can wear this as your mask. It is pretty sweet. The only issue I had was resolved by the seller immediately.

The back is open as there are plastic straps to keep it on. So it is half a helmet.
