Green Feathers Wildlife 700TVL Wired Outdoor Bird Box Camera with Night Vision 940nm Invisible Infrared, Designed for Nest Boxes, Bird Houses and Garden (Camera Only)

I bought a bird box and camera for my father's Christmas. Initially he has some issues with the installation - the cables seem to have been the problem. The camera worked well when he had a trial run in the house but stopped working once outside and fitted in the bird house. My father called Greenfeathers customer care and he said they were great! Very friendly and helpful. After a bit of guided troubleshooting, they offered to replace some cables free of charge. That seems to have worked. He has the camera up and running now. He is very happy with it. The picture is clear and the bird house is good quality. He did say he had bought a little light as he found the picture got a bit too dark later in the day. There's been a few visitors but no one has moved in yet! Watching avidly!! :0)

Easy installation, great and clear video quality, amazing to hear the birds clearly and see the babies hatch and grow. Would highly recommend and would purchase again.

Nice little camera, ideal for nest box watching, only one little niggle is the fact that the LED's do give a pink tinge to the picture, cured the problem to some degree by covering five of the six LED's with black tape, which seems to take away a lot of the pink, but doesn't detract from the picture in uv mode.

Lovely clear image from this camera had hours of enjoyment watching blue tits setting up their nest to laying eggs and finally the chicks coming.

Lovely little Green Feathers CMOS camera. It looks very similar to a number of other Chinese made bird box cameras apart from its colour. The main difference and most important one is that the Infra Red light which gives the night time images in black and white is invisible to animals (940nm). Most of the others I've seen and used have been 850nm Infra Red, which gives a dull red glow. It can also be seen by humans. These cameras have been in the nest box for the past four or five years. I've just replaced the camera the shots were taken by as it had become a bit dusty but will be ok in one of the hedgehog nest boxes we've put out. The cameras are wired, with sound, to a DVR in the house loft and record 24/7 on motion detection, to save disk space. Brilliant.

Seems to be very sturdy and very well constructed. Would like to have seen some advice on siting in order to attract different birds.

Only black and white pictures

Very disappointing with this, first camera would only show in black and white, but sales team from Green Feathers were very good, sent a replacement camera, all works now, but one problem is that as soon as you put the lid back on the bird box it goes back to black and white image, so now have to buy a separate light to go into the box, hopefully this will work when I get it.
