The posts arrived quicker than expected. They look great and were good quality. 3 x 1 bys were glued together and looked great.

I am a General Contractor and work with high end clients and materials. I read a lot of reviews about this product and was concerned about pieces of varying colors, which to me, makes for a very bad product. I could not be happier with the high end quality of this newel. I am using it my own home office for a single leg accent. I am beyond fussy when it comes to my work. I could not be more impressed with this product and especially at the price point. I would have sent it back in a heartbeat, but it will be part of my overall design of my office for many years to come

The finish on these posts was perfect. They were packaged so well and delivered before promised. The size was what I needed. I used them for support under the newly installed quartz countertop in the Kitchen island.

I got the new stair railings installed a couple months ago, and the newels look really nice. The 3 layers of oak are nearly seamless and the wood grain stained and varnished really well. The finished stair railing looks really nice.

We order 3 of these posts. One to end a loft railing, one to start at handrail on the stairs, and one to do both. The have worked out perfectly so far. We finished them in the same natural finish as we were finishing all the pine wood and they came out a little darker but very close. This slightly darker finish was expected as the posts are red oak, but it was not as great of a contrast as I had feared. It was a good alternative to pine posts at a better price.

The posts are not square. I ordered qty 2 and both have 1 un-squared corner. I used my jointer to square up both pieces. Now I am left with a 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" post, not the 3"x3" I designed into my project. Buying an unsquare post is like buying a level that dosent read correctly... it's usless. Also, these are lamaniated blanks not a solid piece, a non issue for my needs. Either I didn't read thoroughly or it is not clearly stated in the product description because I was expecting a solid piece of wood.

The product finally arrived! True to size as described and ready for installation. Only issue was the delivery.
