THESE WORK!!! My Dad is 96 and has Macular Degemeration,
Got these for my Dad who suffers from Macular Degeneration. I didn't have sufficient reviews or info to be sure that these would work. However I had to try. He received them a few days ago and called me immediately very pleased. He said the adjusters were a little difficult for tender hands but that with a little patience he got them adjusted to suit him. We concluded that some difficult adjusting for him was well worth the fact that once adjusted these stayed adjusted. It is hard to relate just what an improvement in life these "Eschenbach MaxTV Glasses" have made in this mans life. He is elated as to how he can now enjoy TV so much more now. He can also see the TV in his bedroom and see things around the house much better if he wishes. NOTE: These have a limited field of view, that is side to side and up and down. Dad wanted me to make sure and advise against trying to stand or walk around with binocular glasses on. Although, knowing him, he may have tested that to some extent. Thank You Eschenbach for such a wonderful thing.

Junk. DIFFICULT Return
Unlike binoculars, you cannot adjust the distance between the "lenses". If your eyes aren't "right", you'll see double. The focus adjustment is minor. The lenses are made of the same cheap plastic as the frame. They say the're "returnable", but they dare you. You have to mail them international at your expense and later ask for some reimbursement. There's forms to fill out. You're buying these because of a visual impairment, right? The post office forms will be a challenge. I ended up throwing them away and eating the cost.

Interesting device
We purchased this for an individual suffering with the onset of macular degeneration and mild age-related dementia. She finds that it does help her somewhat watching TV. It also inproves her vision when she goes outdoors. However, she has trouble focusing the lenses. When I tried the glasses I found them to offer a small degree of magnification for distance vision and I had no trouble with the focusing if I closed one eye while focusing the glasses for the other eye. I believe they are over-priced, but they are, at least, functional.

To see or not to see.
Well, I needed to be able to see icons and text on the 46" Mitsu LCD TV from the reclining love seat without having to get closer to the screen in order to do computer work. The glasses Eschenbach MaxTV Glasses - 1624-111624-11 seemed to be just what I needed. When using them I have to tilt my head just so to focus on the words and lettering. I'm not 100% satisfied, however they do save some effort in trying to read on-screen material. Pretty large investment for my purposes, but if your eyesight is bad, they may be well worth the money to help in watching television programming.

Very pleased with my purchase
My Dad suffers from Macular degeneration and glaucoma and has only partial sight left in one eye. He has been unable to read or watch tv so I ordered these as a Christmas gift for him, hoping they would help. He was thrilled with how they worked and he found them easy to adjust.. They are good quality, very well made and came with a case for storage. I was pleased with the quick delivery as I ordered them a short time before Christmas and although delivery was promised by Jan. 3rd, the arrived well before Christmas Day.

Glasses were of no help
Glasses were of no help in letting my mother see the TV. There is very little adjusting on each lens-not at all like a pair of binoculars. They were very cheaply made. If they would have helped her to see TV, I could have overlooked the low quality. They were not worth the large amount of money they cost. I have returned the glasses and I am waiting for my money to be returned.

Good improvement in viewing tv
Got these for my husband who has GA/AMD . He was practically on top of the 55” tv in order to see it. He said people’s mouths look like they were sewn up, or missing. With these glasses, he is sitting on the couch which is across the room from the tv and seeing well! He says he needs to look straight ahead , but it’s not uncomfortable. I tried them and thought they were pretty great! I however, don’t have any blind spots as he does. Things looked very clear, and larger. We think they were well worth the price. They came from Japan and although they were delayed at customs, it didn’t take that long to get them. Maybe two weeks. There is a “restocking fee “ if you return them. Be sure to check it out!

Lousy Product- Do Not Buy From This Company.
Do Not Buy This Product. It simply does not work. You need to be at one specific distance to get any enhanced view and that's not practical...and the company that sells it does not stand behind it. When I called to tell them that my disabled father could not benefit from them and they did not work well they started arguing with me and telling me that they would not give me a full refund even if the product was defective. I shipped at my expense it back and took a "restocking" fee loss. In the end, between shipping and their restocking fee I took a 25% loss on a product that did not work. Do Not Make The Same Mistake That I Did! Avoid this company and avoid this product.
