I have five currently and the bag lasts a couple of months (they eat fish food that floats to the bottom of the tank and probably some algae). They make a bee line to them when I drop them in the tank. It is a small bag but I am not sure I would want anything larger given the time it takes to get through. The price is fine with me. I don't know if the food itself is the reason (I suspect it is a fairly good amount of the reason) but of my five, three are now pushing three years old- which is the longest I've had any snail before them for. I feed them using a glass tube and dish so I can see what gets eaten and what falls apart. This one is the best! Usually gets eaten right away but what doesn't get quickly eaten stays mostly solid and doesn't turn into dust like other brands. Corys like it too, but the fish leave it alone mostly. I've noticed when I feed them this they don't clean the algae as much, so I just turn down my lights for a few days, I'd rather have low light (or clean glass more often) and give them this because I know they love it.
