I like the #1 seasoning, but I’ve really been looking for the #2 seasoning seems like thinker season crystals. If you’re from Maryland but can’t get the crab seasoning where you live. J.O. #1 - the real deal
Hard to find outside of Chesapeake Bay area- JO #2 is what you use to steam crabs. # 1 is best for steamed shrimp or crab cakes, -yes , it is similar to Old Bay, but has a much more robust flavor profile than the current stuff from McCormick IMHO. Here it is on Amazon.

This is the best seafood seasoning. Nothing against the other major seafood seasoning that comes in the square container but if you want real FLAVOR, this is what you need.

Would be great but....
I would ordinarily give 5 stars for J.O.' s because it's the best crab spice there is. I couldn't this time because when I opened my package there was spice everywhere in the box. The lid had come off even though the seal was intact. Because of this I lost approximately half the spice.
