It provides really great warmth since it is really 2 hats in one - with the outside acrylic look (which is a tad feminine in terms of style, but manly colors) and then the inside lined with fleece. The hat does look on male or females and isn’t really gender specific. The end cap slouch is on the smaller side, and is just enough to give it that look. It is comfortable to wear long periods of time with its stretchy fit. I have put this in the delicates wash after getting salt on it and came out fine, but didn’t machine dry it just in case.
