I had my doubtsโฆ
This is a really fun tool to engage in spelling and grammar activities for my second graders. It doesnโt take up a lot of space and is super easy to use. Iโve now purchased a second game to use with this learning kit.

Perfect STEM game
I got this for my 5- and 8-year-old, and it was a hit! They both love STEM toys, and so do I, since they make learning fun while keeping those curious little brains engaged. This one did not disappointโit turned math practice into an interactive and exciting game rather than just another lesson. One of the best features is the ability to select different difficulty levels, so both of my kids could find something suited to them. My younger one could start with the basics, while my older child got more of a challenge, making it a toy they can grow with. The combination of hands-on play and digital interaction kept them interested for much longer than I expected. If you're looking for a fun, educational toy that actually holds kids' attention while reinforcing math skills, this is a great choice. Itโs a fantastic way to make learning feel like play!

Good learning tool for kids.
Works good. Grandkids haven't been that entertained yet with it but they are still a little young.

Entertaining and educational
After doing some online search, I came across a children's game that appeared to be both entertaining and educational. As a parent, I value the benefits of gaming for children, while also prioritizing the inclusion of educational content. The game in question is known as Plugo and is developed by PlayShifu. Specifically, we opted to purchase the spelling and grammar kit. The setup process was relatively straightforward, with the most time-consuming aspect being the creation of an account. We utilized our daughter's Amazon tablet to access the game, which is compatible with a wide range of platforms. Although we needed to remove the tablet from its protective case, the game provides a secure holder for the device. The game mat is foldable and equipped with magnetic components to secure the letter tiles. Plugo offers a range of engaging activities that enhance vocabulary, foster letter recognition, develop problem-solving skills, and improve hand-eye coordination. The game is adaptable to various grade levels and targets key language concepts such as phonics, pronouns, spelling, sight words, prepositions, nouns, and verbs. I am pleased to report that my 7-year-old daughter has spent over an hour engrossed in these educational games, demonstrating sustained interest and enjoyment. As a parent, witnessing her engagement and learning is truly gratifying. Plugo is designed for children aged 4-10 and features customizable learning levels to cater to individual needs. I wholeheartedly recommend the Plugo Letters Spelling and Grammar Kit, as it offers a valuable learning resource for households with children within this age range.

I'm a bit disappointed with this product.
To start, I want to add that I have an Android Tablet and not an iPad, so this may be an Android problem, too. But this game is supposedly compatible with the android tablet. I had high expectations for this Shifu Count game for my Kindergarten son. I thought it would be a fun game to help him learn, and although it may be fun for some, the Kindergarten age is not a good age to buy this game for. I think this game would be more suitable for a preschool aged kid. The addition in this game is SO SIMPLE. It makes me mad how simple it is, and you can't make it harder. At least, when I try to it doesn't increase the difficulty. My son isn't old enough to do multiplication or division yet, so I'm hoping that it will be more useful when he is in first or second grade. I'm upset about this purchase, especially because of the price point and it not being up to scale for a Kindergartener. But also, the product itself has PLENTY OF BUGS. My son likes one of the games out of the 5 offered (they're all basically the same game with a different background), and it glitched at times and abruptly ended at the end. No finish. I'm hopeful for this company that their other programs (music, STEM, etc.) are better and I'm willing to try those out, but as for this one: TL;DR Don't buy this for your Kindergartener. Buy for your Pre-schooler for beginning addition and subtraction. Buy for your Kiddo learning multiplication and division. Expect bugs and glitches. Probably works better for an iPad than an android tablet.

Wow! Money Well Spent! Great Learning game for Teaching reading and Spelling!
Great job Plugo! I wasnโt sure what to expect when I bought this - the reviews were good but I wasnโt 100% confident this would work for us. I have a 5yr old, Kindergartener who needed a great game that he could use independently but still learn from. Iโm both homeschooling and working during the game and I needed a viable solution to giving him work to do while I took calls or answered emails. Iโm happy to say, this is it! It was easy to setup and use straight out the box. The letter tiles come in their own little storage drawer and the magnetic base sticks to the drawer. My son figured that out before I did! After registering, he jumped right into the first game. Easy Peasy. After watching him play for awhile (which was guided, yet still taught each word with fun animations), I left the room to take care of a few things. I was gone longer than anticipated but when I got back he was still happily playing. My son can have a short attention span at times. This game held his attention and I could also see he was getting better with each additional level. I am impressed! I think I have the perfect game for school this fall. Want one other tip? When I told him to put it away, he did it BY HIMSELF! Iโm going to definitely look into buying the other games in this series.

Fun for littles!
This is the perfect kit for back to school! Our kids love the interactive games and storylines. It keeps them engaged for sure. Tip: make sure to follow the set up exactly and let the gray calibrate so that the letters register correctly. If you donโt, it gets really touchy and some of the letters donโt register. We also thought it would be better if the pad was one panel less or move the tray up one panel so that it doesnโt sit on the edge/so far from the screen. The pad with panels just seems a little too long but it isnโt the worst thing just takes up a bit of space. We do also wish the tray was bigger but itโs not the worst. We have the kids lay the letters out on the table to help them find them quicker than digging through the tray. Other than that, we love it. Itโs definitely worth the price. Plus itโs semi compact so can be easily packed and accompany you on your travels. We love that we can set up different kid profiles and it customizes the games for the player. The color scheme is great too!

Stay away from chandelier and mirror when setting this up!
This is a brilliant product. It reads the letters through the camera on your tablet and recognizes whether your kid spelled words right or wrong through the app. I had to play with the light setting though. First, my daughter was playing in the dining table. My dining table has a chandelier and the reflections from the crystals were interfering with the camera readability. My daughter put the letter D but the software was reading it as O... etc. So I moved Plugo to my daughter's play desk in the living room. This time the software kept recognizing and unrecognizing the letters. I looked around and ... Haha! It was doing funky stuff because of the mirror in my living room. The camera was reading the reflection and the actual letters that my daughter spelled, and was doing that nonsense. I didn't give up! Now I moved Plugo to my daughter's desk in her bedroom where there is no mirror or chandelier. It seems to be working but also missed reading the letters when my daughter correctly put them all in. I guessed the low light as a culprit and used my desk light as you can see in my picture. Yes! That worked. My daughter's been playing happily for almost an hour. :) Is it worth of all my brain work? Yes my daughter loves it! I took one star off for my time spent figuring out all these things I've been sharing. There is no manual. Although it's not a rocket science to figure these out, for this price range, i expect a solid manual. I took another star off because the app can have more games (currently only three available). It seems like Plugo is developing more games (it says the 4th one is coming soon). I'll add a star back when I see them available. Hope this helps someone out there!

Excellent product, great customer service.
Educational value: This is a great product to help kids engage with mathematics, starting from a pre-school level and increasing in depth as your child grows. The games are varied and engaging for children, although they can be a bit repetitive. Beyond the education aspect, the PlayShifu customer service is very impressive and responsive. Would definitely recommend to any parent.
