Review: Especially good for anise & star anise. - Bit pricey, but very large quantity. The spice is "strong"... so it doesn't seem to take much to have a huge impact on the flavor and aroma. In particular, the anise seed & star anise come through strongly in the flavor profile, which is ideal, since the other 3 ingredients (clove, cinnamon, and and ginger) are fairly common in most spice racks. So really I was getting this for its anise & star anise content primarily. With the overall strength of the flavor, the quantity, and the heavy content of anise seed & star anise, I feel it was worth the high-ish price (I believe it was $20 when I got it). Should last me for years of BBQ/asian cooking.
