Nice
Nice pedals. You do, however, have to look VERY closely to find the "R" and "L" marking on the end of the pedals, where they screw into the crank arm. That seems to be typical of a lot of these kinds of pedals. There's also the "standard" stripe marking on the left pedal, and only smooth surface on the right pedal. (Also, all you really need to do is install the pedals so that the writing, ZONKIE, is readable when looking down on the pedals while sitting on the bike. If they're right side up, you've got them placed properly. If they're upside down, they're reversed.)For what they are, they appear to be well made and they provide a nice stable surface area for my tennis shoes. I put these on an Ebike, along with inexpensive Zefal Christophe half toe clips. (That little project required longer screws, which I always have on hand, and some washers, because the area where I attach the toe clips is angled just enough to require longer screws.) Together, they provide just what I was looking for -- a wide and secure surface that keeps my feet exactly where I want them, with the freedom to disengage them easily, while avoiding full-on clip-ins and/or full toe straps. And from what I can tell they spin about the same as the pedals that originally came on my bike, a Yamaha Urban Rush. (A lot of folks criticize these types of pedals for being too stiff and not spinning freely enough. For me, that's not an issue, but if that is an issue for you these probably aren't the pedals for you.)

Solid construction at a great price
Very solid all-metal construction. I use trail or walking shoes and these pedals work great at keeping my shoes on the pedals on my comfort bike. They are just wide enough to distribute weight across the entire width of my feet. This eases the stress on my inner toes when hill climbing or distance riding. Satisfied enough to purchase another pair for my mountain bike. The left pedal has the grooved spindle. A hint when installing and removing pedals: forward on-back off.I attached Zefal "Cristophe" toe clips (size L/XL) for my size 10.5 (U.S. men) trail shoes. It took a little effort. I took a screw and nut that came with the toe clips to the hardware store, and bought longer screws, washers, and nylon spacers. For the nylon spacers, I needed 5/16" length x .194" I.D., but ended buying 2/16" and 3/16" as 5/16" was not available. I also bought nuts since I wanted all the metal parts to be stainless steel. The reflectors were easy to pop off. Don't try prying them out from the front, it's way easier to pressed a wood shim (or something similar) to the back. Took it out for an hour and a half road ride and it worked fine. Took a little practice to kick into the toe clips because the pedals are grippy, but after awhile, I got the hang of it to kick in smoothly. I'll update if I have any issues with this setup in the next year.

Super stiff out of the box
Well built, nice and solid, but it didn't spin freely like a bike pedal should. I had to take the end cap off and give the shaft and bearing a little "help" to get them moving freely.

durable, easy install
These pedals were essential as the last two bicycle pedals I purchased broke in exactly the same way. Many pedals offer a steel frame but use plastic on the connector, causing the plastic to wear out and the pedal to slowly slide off. This pedal is steel throughout, with gripping pegs on the outer edge to hold your shoe in place without tearing up the bottoms of your shoes. I hope to get many years out of these pedals!

Nice, good price & easy install
They came well packaged. Note the L and R as you install on Left & Right. Easy peasy. Seems like a good fit and feel for my hybrid bike. Slightly bigger foot surface than the old ones (which is what I was looking for).

Great Pedals.
Bought them as a replacement for the original ones and these are way better. Shoes grab on much better and they look nice. Great product.

They are what they are
Bought these to use on a new bike to get used to before putting clip in pedals on. Install fine and seem to be of decent quality…except for the bearings. Both pedals are extremely tight and won’t spin freely. They may loosen up with time. If you’re paying less than $20 for pedals, you really shouldn’t expect high quality.
