Good plan
I followed the H burn for 10 days and lost 8 pounds! Liked the book, it was easy to follow. My only thing I could not complete were the 8-10 hours of sleep every night. Got a little tired of the smoothie and the soup at the end but most of the meals were very good!

NOT A DIET BOOK, BUT A HEALING AND PREVENTION BOOK-GREAT BOOK BEFORE YOU START THE FST METAB DIET
This is a book that heals 1. Inflamation 2. Digestion 3. Hormonal Imbalance. I have come to the opinion that it is better and lots easier to prevent disease than to get to the point of having disease and trying to cure it. So whether you have health issues (like me) or you are not this book can help you.I did the inflamation and digestion burns with my daughter (I am 63, she is 25). She partnered with me so I would see it through. Here is the review on the results of the burns and how we viewed the food.I have Psoriatic Arthritis, slight digestive problems, and hormonal imbalance. She at 25 has some inflamation problems, lots of digestive problems and problems with not great hair, dark circles under eyes, acne.I Burn: After the 3 day burn Me: Pain free, no swollen wrists ankles or feet, tons of energy My daughter: dark eye circles gone, acne clearing, big attitude improvement.The food was the worst of the three burns, but edible, and lots of it. Never hungry. Hey it is 3 days out of your life, suck it up and do something good for your body for a change.D Burn: After 5 day burn, no more digestive problems for either of us, tons of energy.The food was our favorite for this burn. I will be going back to these recipes in the future for sure.H Burn: We are 3 days in, still lots of energy, 7 days to go I am confident.The food is really good on this burn too.In conclusion, this is not a "diet" book it is a healing/prevention book. It is for EVERYONE. It is amazing how much energy eating this way gives you. I will also say that in the process of healing you are purging the toxins in your body on these food plans. Of course you are not gonna just feel great. You feel great at the end. When you start you are eating food that gets rid of all of the crud that you have been storing in your body for years, the crud dosen't just disappear. You either pee, poop, or sweat it out. Yes, you may not feel on top of the world your first days and you may have diarrhea on certain days. I think that is expected, but I guess a lot of overweight people feel that they should feel good when they are in the process of healing their bodies and everything they put in their pie hole has to taste fantastic, but this is reality and it don't work that way.I do understand the bad reviews. The problem is that in all of the bad reviews it seems as though the reviewers are looking for a good diet cookbook. This book is for if your scale is stuck, but I look at it more of a healing book, but better yet a book to use before you start the Fast Metabolism Diet. How much better can the FMD work if you can cure some of the abuses that you have bestowed on your body before you start to try losing weight? I think a lot better. I also see the books usefulness for anyone that wants to take a few days one or two times a year to do something that will really make you feel better and de-stress your body and make it work more effeciently. My 25 year old is sold on these burns with the skin, hair, and well being improvments it made with her.As far as the food goes, no my husband wouldn't eat the I Burn food with me, but now that we went through the D Burn and are in the H Burn, we all eat the meals I make for these burns. He doesn't need to lose weight (neither does my daughter), but the meals in general are really good. They don't eat the soups or teas, but they like the foods and I only need to cook one meal for all of us.So I say to the reviewers that bomb the book for the flavor of the I burn food, and the teas, If your main concern in life is the taste of your food, don't buy the book, take the money, go buy pizzas to eat with brownies for desert and spend the money later on medications to fix your health-which don't fix your health, they just address your symptoms. I instead bought the book and Haylie showed me how to start fixing my health with results I could never get with toxic drugs like methotrexate. Let food be your medicine.

02/2015: Ok guys, let me start out by saying I gained 120 pounds in 10 years. After high school I just let myself go; focused in on being a mommy. On my 30th birthday my DH threw me a surprise party. A group photo was taken and it hit me; I was 2x bigger than everyone else! So, at 278 I started out joining a gym and exercising 4 days a week and limiting my calories to 1200 a day. I lost 32 pounds in a year; that's terrible to me! Around that time my husband lost his job, so no more gym for me! It was clipping coupons and back to buying crappy foods. About a year later, I came across a woman that had lost 55 pound in 6 months using the diet HCG. Taking drops and only eating 500 calories a day for 45 days, losing 25 pounds really appealed to me. So for the last 3 years I have been off and on; weight going up and down. The diet works; I lost 60 pounds over the 3 years but my metabolism is shot as a result. This year I decided it was time to begin repairing my metabolism in hopes of finding a healthier way to lose my last 40 pounds. I came across Haylie Pomroy and the FMD. Yes, getting all the starter food was expensive, but most of it I didn't really need. You learn as you go how to make the diet work for you. I lost 10 pounds in 28 days. I immediately started a 2nd round and found myself stalling. That happened to be around the time when her new book The Burn came out. It says in the book you will know which burn is for you cause you'll enjoy the foods your eating, your body will crave it and boy was she right! I started with the I-burn and the tea made me gag! I lost 3 pounds of water, quickly gained it back. Now I am on day 5 of the H-burn and I am actually really enjoying it! I adapted the smoothie to my taste. This is the smoothie recipe I use: 1c frozen peaches or frozen mangoes, 1/4c Raw walnuts, 2 cups spinach, 1 diced baby cucumber, 1T coconut oil OR 1/4 an avocado, 4 drops stevia and 2 cups water. It's delicious! The soup I followed to a T except I used 4 cups chicken broth and 2 cups water, sea salt & lots of pepper. I dont mind the tea as is. I don't follow her dinner recipes; I have been doing easy things like frozen burgers and grilled zucchini or avacado tuna salad for lunch 3 days in a row. I spend $60 a week and have lost 5 pounds so far. So, this diet is adaptable, just be creative. I plan on doing this diet 3 rounds row in hopes of losing 20 pounds. I hope I have helped some of y'all see this diet is adaptable and doable. Good luck!03/2017- UPDATE: Hayley's methods work; period. You just have to have the mindset to make a change and that is my struggle! The review above was from 2 years ago and here I sit, still needing to lose about 30 pounds, but that is my own lazy fault. I just finished doing 5 days (not 3) on the I-burn and lost 2.5 pounds. I just started the H-burn and was down 1 lb this AM. I'm gonna be real with you guys; I DONT make the soups! They are just too expensive and time consuming! I choose to continue having my 1/2 caf coffee with 2 stevia packets + heavy cream. I DO drink the tea, but usually 1-2x a day, never 3. I also make sure to drink 2 16 oz bottles of spring water at every meal!Don't let all the details of this book scare you or put you off. Just adapt it to your lifestyle. I think the most important thing is sticking to the foods listed, the portion sizes she suggests and DRINK YOUR WATER. The rest is just extra "fluff." OH...The key! I walk, A LOT! You gotta walk, it makes all the difference.

I am a Fast Metabolism Diet advocate and have followed Mrs. Pomroy's FMD plan for a few months now. I bought this book and decided to follow and the I-Burn plan. The plan itself is sound and did actually help (no miracles, but it did help), it does require quite a bit of cooking and it is not very practical if you're on the road and out of the house a lot. Both the recommended shopping list and the conversion of US cups to grams are not reliable (you'll end up with twice as much vegetables than you would need).If you like Mrs Pomroy's work and have read and followed the FMD, then you might like this book too, but I would definitely recommend to read The Fast Metabolism Diet book first.

Very trendy but I did not like the ideas in here. You're better off with a nutritious diet with no gimmicks. Less food and more regular exercise worked for me!
