Review: veggie jerky a meat-eater can enjoy - First off, I'm not vegetarian. I love vegetables, but I love meat too, I just like to mix it up. I love jerky as a snack. Mostly beef jerky (Krave chili-lime), but also turkey jerky, and I wanted to see if I could find a veggie jerky to add to the mix. A vegan friend recommended Louisville Vegan Jerky Perfect Peperonni - which is accurately titled, but I find pepperoni too salty (real or vegan), and I don't like the softer soy texture of this vegan jerky. I want something to really chew on like beef jerky. I find Portabella Jerky much more satisfying. It's not quite as firm and stringy as real beef jerky, but it has that satisfying tough and chewy quality I was looking for, where it takes some effort to chew, that the soy jerky doesn't provide. I really like the Korean Chili flavor, because I like a savory/spicy flavor and this really nails it, with just a hint of sweetness.

This sesame ginger was really good. But, the package was only about 1/5 full. Disappointed, I think the packaging cost more than the product I received. So, very expensive. It was a treat, and something to try. I’d like to make it staple in our home, but it’s simply too expensive.
