Pleased With Purchase So Far
I have only been using my Anhua wax carving unit for a short time but so far, I am pleased with my purchase. It offers a wide range of temperatures for the waxes I use and a variety of pencil tips for carving. Time will tell as to how durable the unit and the heated tools are. For the price it was a very good choice. Delivery was quick too.

Good for some things
I have used this for a couple of years for jewelry lost wax casting wax preparation and it works nicely for detailing waxes and other low heat uses. Its barley hot enough for attaching wax models to a sprue base and the cords wear out within a year so be prepared to replace them but I like it and I use it every day. The tips provided are cheap but they work and can be bent into desired shapes. Its worth the money.

Defective Low Temperature
The carver didn't actually get to 200 C even when the display read 200 C. The actual temperature as measured by a temperature gun was 80 C on highest setting, which was not high enough to melt my jeweler's wax (melting point 114 C). I also tested to see if it left scorch marks on paper at "200 C" or melt through a plastic water bottle. It couldn't, because it wasn't high enough. I saw another review that said it couldn't get high enough to melt wax for jewelry, and I'm wondering if that reviewer had the same issue-- because this does not get as hot as the specs claim. I also tested multiple tips and both pens for the temp. Same results, couldn't get high enough.

Great for detail work
I use this product for applying fine detail work using Wolf Relief Wax (or similar low-temp red wax formulations). I set the temperature at ~230 degrees F and I'm able to drip tiny wax details onto my pieces. I use a battery powered hot pen (like matt wax or the thread zapper) for building up Ferris green or blue wax structures, but this electric pen is perfect for the tiny details that I add to those pieces. This tool + a Matt wax/Thread zapper pen are the best combo for me.

Works but disappointing
It's a versatile device, but the cords are way too short to be convenient to use
