These Work Well!
My first encounter with tablecloth clamps was 45 years ago when my mother used these most useful invention. I have searched subsequently and eventually found them and delighted to discover they do the same effective job of yesteryear. The older versions were more sturdy being of slightly thicker steel and for this these earn 3 stars. I have left these outside in action in and with the sea close by I will be able to comment on their durability and update their sturdiness in due course. Certainly these are value for money. So if you live in a breezy place and prefer a tablecloth to bare tabletop, these are for you.

Just what I wanted for a camping trip (picnic table)
These were perfect for what I wanted - to hold a simple tablecloth on a picnic table for a camping trip. The spring steel means that they hold tight while accommodating any slight variations in the table thickness or your table cloth, etc. You get six in a pack (I probably could have done with 4, but nice to have the extra two - either for the middle of the table or for things like attaching a garbage bag to the end of the table). I haven't used them enough to truly make an assessment of durability, but they quality seems very good and I'm happy I bought this over similar ones I was considering (e.g., plastic type).

Easy to use, work well, 'trick' to getting them on
Easy to use. Keeps tablecloth from flying off card table outside. Flat on table surface so they don't catch skin or sleeves. Make sure you pull them open as far as possible and hold them open while placing on table. I 'closed' one before it was all the way on and slid it across the table cloth to push it all the way into place. It ripped the tablecloth which was a thin vinyl with polyester backing. Lesson learned. Still very happy with them though as that was operator error and not the clip's fault. Priced a lot less than what I saw similar clips for locally. Arrived quickly.

Very basic, but that's what I needed
These hold my table cloth in place on my fold-able plastic table. There are no hinges, they adjust automatically with pressure. The one thing I'd change if I could is how long they are on the top, they stick into the table several inches and it would be nice if they would just clip onto the edge and only go in an inch or so.They are metal so I'm sure they'll hold up with normal use for a very long time - I've had plastic ones break pretty easily so this is a plus for me.Otherwise very happy with the product, works as advertised and are pretty inexpensive.-D

The ONLY table cloth clamp to buy
I bought a pack of these 4 years ago, and my wife protested: "These are going to rust and stain our tablecloths". Ah, but "no", I said, "these are stainless steel and will never rust." To be honest, I was less confident about this statement than I was projecting at the time. But here we are, years later, and they are still pristine and without a spot of rust. Plus...they are still HERE 4 years later, unlike the plastic ones which crack and break after a year, or the tablecloth weights that fall apart or just aren't heavy enough to work at all. And these fit almost anything. So I just bought another pack. Seems a silly little thing to write a review about, but looks like I'm in good company.

They dont fit all tables
The first time we tried these on a picnic table the wood was too thick. They also don't fit well on our plastic camp tables. And if you bend the clamps too far, they lose their shape!

Great!
I like to use vinyl tablecloths in my kitchen for my kids for holidays and festive events. Because my kids are small, there is often some pulling and shifting and these prevent the tablecloth from moving! I also like the crisper look that these clamps provide. I don't really re-use my vinyl table cloths (except for painting drop-cloths) because typically by the end of their month of use there are small rips near these clamps (but again, I have kids-- four of them! and they're not exactly careful!!). These clamps however stand the test of time.

Useful item. (not fancy but does the job)
The quality was better than$ shop products, but the price was expensive- cheaper in Cdn tireWorks well. The clamp size is on the wider side. There is some margin for pressing down ( making the clamp smaller), but not much..The metal seems to be hard alumunium, not steel.- but may not rust.May work better on older wodden tabletops.Asthetically- it takes away form the beauty of the tablecloth, as it is an obvious item.Best for patio or outdoor tables, or a casual look.

Three Stars
Good quality but not suitable for wide brim tables.

Does the job it was intended for and does it very well
Awesome, these are the ones to get. We bought cheap plastic ones one year at the dollar store and this is a case of you get what you pay for. The springy metal works wonders and keeps the cloth tight. We've used them 4 different weekends now and they are still like brand new. The dollar store ones broke the first weekend and didn't even hold the table cloth tight to begin with. Highly recommend.

Good clamps
Holds table cloth in place however if you were to put them directly in front of where you sit, the shape of the clamp means the lower part can poke you in chest/stomach where you would normally touch the table
