Great If You Have Cable TV and Cable Internet
My cable modem was operating at maximum uplink power driving through a six-way splitter and cable amplifier, and it sometimes had trouble maintaining the internet connection. I disconnected the cable drop from the amplifier input and connected it to the tap input port, disconnected the modem cable from the power divider and connected it to the tap output port, and connected the -6dB port to the input of the cable amplifier driving the six-way splitter. My modem uplink power is now 7dB lower, I am maintaining a great internet connection, and the TVs still have good signal levels.
