Atlas Pasta Machine Electric Motor Attachment

Who knew that making fresh pasta was so easy? I had been wanting to make my own pasta for years but I was always reluctant to even try thinking it's going to be a whole to do. Boy was I wrong. I found a Mario Batali recipe for egg noodles. Armed with that and this pasta maker, I set to work. It was so easy that I had perfect pasta on my absolute first try! What I didn't do correctly was store it (didn't put enough flour on the pasta and so it all stuck) but that mistake was easily remedied. Since getting this for Christmas, I think I've used it at least 20 times. It's so easy to use, so easy to clean and makes such fabulous pasta that I can't imagine ever eating the processed stuff again. I usually make the pasta with my 5 year old who loves to turn the crank for me. When he's not around though, the motor is a God-send. Makes the process that much easier. I totally and absolutely love this pasta maker. The only thing to note is that after I made a ton of fettuccine and spaghetti, I looked to see if I can find a fusili or penne attachment for this machine and there are none available. I would have loved it if that would have been possible but I guess you can't have everything. I still love this machine and highly recommend it.

Purchased in late 2016 for Polymer Clay work. Wanted to kick myself in the head for not purchasing 2 years sooner. If you do polymer clay as a hobby---BUY THIS! BUY IT NOW! Why? A manual pasta machine can cause your shoulders, hands, or backs to hurt by improper posture involved in manually turning the handles to condition your polymer clay. Using a motor not only prevents shoulder and hand pain, it makes conditioning polymer clay super easy with no pain, no handles falling off onto the floor, no cursing, no Advil at night. Sure, it's a little noisy, but I like to think it is the "sound of comfort and efficiency". Additionally, the Atlas machine is the BEST piece of equipment available for use with polymer clay. Better than Makins/Amaco/any other brand. You can use and destroy 3-4 of the less expensive units and then buy the Atlas with a motor, OR you can buy it now. You'll spend $20-$60 on clay or supplies without even thinking. Do yourself a gigantic favor and pay $160 for this set and buy supplies later. When I finally purchased mine in October 2016, there was a problem with the electrical connection received with the unit. The Amazon seller was absolutely wonderful and IMMEDIATELY fixed the problem with a new part. It was just about the best customer service I've ever encountered. Just opened the box to make some fettuccine. The power cord included is not for use in the United States. The manual indicated a different cord was included. Luckily it came with a hand crank. Super disappointed to not have the correct cord to use the motor that I paid extra for. The machine itself seems to be well made.

This product worked great until it no longer worked. The motor stopped working only two months after I purchased it, after only using it about 6 times. Would love to return it, but the return time on this item is only one month. Very disappointing for an item that costs a solid amount. Maybe this machine works great for some others if it doesn't break, and maybe mine was an anomaly. However if that was the case it would be great to be able to return it for a new one.

I have used a traditional pasta maker for a few years now and like many others struggled with the need for a third arm. This takes away that need. I did not use the recipes that come with the machine. I use a basic egg pasta recipe in the food processor. This machine makes it go so much faster. I am now making pasta for everything that we eat with noodles. It is so easy. You can even make a double batch quickly and freeze it for later use. It gets the pasta much thinner than my old machine and I no longer have to watch my toes while making pasta. For those of you with a crank machine you know what I mean. That thing falls off and hits the ground so many times while making pasta. No more worries about that anymore! Great product, Great value and my only complaint is that I waited so long to order it!

This is a great pasta machine. Go the extra mile and get the motor attachment. It is powerful, designed very well and easy to use. I had originally purchased another brand machine. That machine failed within 10 minutes of the first use. The problem was the plastic, probably Delrin, under the rollers that fed/guided the dough to the cutter. I packed it up and sent it back. The Marcato Atlas does not have the design flaw and works perfectly. I would definitely recommend the Marcato Atlas machine.

I have owned a no name hand crank pasta machine for years. I wanted one with a motor. This is the only motor I found with good reviews. Well, I am adding another good review! This machine is so much better! The cutter cuts the noodles perfectly and the motor runs without over heating even with large batches of pasta dough. It is loud, but not terrible. It comes with the hand crank handle and the motor for whatever you need might be. Love it.

The motor struggled so much on an extrusion whenever the dough is folded in half, on any thickness setting. It warmed up and started to smell as if it was melting inside. I had to remove the 4 screws and looked inside to see what was going on. I could not believe what I saw. All the gears are made out of cheap white plastic. The coil is the only thing metal inside the casing. Could this be a genuine made in Italy motor? The rest of the machine works fine and in good quality. I wish they would manufacture a motor with a little more power and quality in keeping the rest of the machine. I would like to think that the unit I received is a knockoff. Three stars because the machine works as a hand crank.

the machine worked good in starting. after 10 ten use the spindles which move through a gear probably are not rotating now. waste of money. need immediate replacement of the part.
