Great Mittens!
Excellent mitts for wild winters. Your hands stay much warmer wearing these vs. gloves. Well-made, good-looking, comfortable insulation/lining - water repellent, too. Also, an outstanding value.

Outstanding value.
These Carhartt winter were recommended to me by a friend, and I bought them 5 years ago. I would buy these again. I have recommended these to many others based on the blend of warmth, water resistance, wind resistance, solid durability, and reasonable price. These hit a sweet spot between performance and value. I have used these to keepy hands warm in a variety of activities, including snow skiing, shoveling snow off the driveway, chopping firewood, walking the dog, sitting around campfires, bike rides, and early morning boot camp (F3) workouts. The boot camp workouts have definitely taken the biggest toll, gradually wearing down the outer layers due to things such as bear crawls across icy pavement. Based on what I have put these through, I am impressed. And they still have plenty of life left! After all these years of abuse, they look great. When I bought these, my biggest concern was the fit. My hands are often between men's large and medium, depending on the brand. So I originally ordered both sizes. Either would have fit my hands, but these are a bit narrow at the wrist, and I could barely squeeze my hands in the medium. so I returned the medium and kept the size large. If you're in between sizes, I recommend the larger size. These are very warm, sometimes almost too warm. Perfect when sitting or walking. If you are active in these, they may get a bit hot and sweaty. I like warm hands, so when I am active (running or boot camp workouts), I have learned to shed layers from my upper body, and keep these thick warm gloves! When these get sweaty and steamy, I dry them over a standard heater vent. I just flip the wrist cuff up, and then set these gloves over a vent, so warm air can enter and dry the inside. I also wash these in a standard washing machine about once a year, and then dry them over a heater vent. Keeps them smelling nice. I never dry them in a clothes dryer, but just place over a heater vent. Finally, these are warm enough for most conditions on their own. But when the temps are very cold, and I know I won't be moving much, that is when I like to pair these Carhartt mittens with a thin liner glove. Occasionally that gets too hot, so I shed the mitten or the liner. For the price, these are hard to beat. Outstanding value. Highly recommend.

Great warm winter mittens
These are super comfy and warm mittens that I use to ski with. They have lasted 1 full season so far with only a minor tear from taking them on and off so much. The thickness is good enough to keep you warm and also let you grip what you’re holding. The size runs pretty universal making them easy to use for anyone.

Good quality but liner is okay
Very warm but if your hands get a bit sweaty when warm stay away. The cloth liner could come out with your hand and it’s a pain to get to fit normally again

Very warm mittens.
These Carhartt men’s waterproof insulated mittens are very very good. I use them when I plow my drives and the sidewalks for myself and the neighbors. They keep your hands very warm and comfortable. I am very well, pleased, knowing Carhartt products.

Perfectly warming!!!
I was looking for something to keep my hands from being*painfully* cold during winter walks/runs, and these mittens are the solution! At first, I was wearing them over some form-fitting athletic gloves, but I've started wearing the mittens alone, and even with a wind-chill temp of 1°F, on an hour-long nighttime trek, my hands are warmer than as though I'm sitting in a cozy heated room. I had read that the key to warmth is to have an enclosed space where heat can gather, and these mittens provide that. They are very large and pull way up onto the wrist and seal off any air. I highly recommend these if you need to be out in cold temps and don't need dexterity for any task while you're wearing them. However, you could wear gloves underneath, and then pull off the mittens when you need to use your hands; that also gives you the option to pull them off if you start to overheat --I have actually had to pull them off several times because they are so warm!

Warm, Durable, but Tricky to Put Back On When Wet
These mittens are solid and do exactly what they’re supposed to do, they’re warm, well insulated, and hold up great in cold conditions. They kept my hands protected while skiing in the mountains, even in harsh weather, and the quality feels durable and reliable. The only downside is that they can be hard to put back on if your hands are sweaty or wet, which happens often when skiing. Once they’re on, they’re great, but re-gloving mid-run takes some effort. Overall, still a very good pair of mittens, just something to keep in mind for active winter sports.

Quality gloves at a valuable price
These are quality gloves for the price. They keep my hands nice and warm on the slopes. They don’t dry very fast so make sure you’re putting them over a vent after use. I found this out the hard way after my first use, and they started to stink a little. Threw them in the wash, dried them properly, and they don’t stink anymore.
