The C key is great bamboo flute
This was a great purchase for my first bamboo flute! Of course I’ll give you all a honest review This is a good easy to play flute, the sound is very beautiful and rich the overall sound quality is amazing. To achieve such beautiful sounds you must cover up the First hole from the mouth piece or it will not sound. I don’t have much cons for this other than the fingering chat for complete beginners. The fingering chart provided is overall good but it lacks (Letter Notes) like what key you are using Of you could just learn music theory. Otherwise you’ll need to research for the keys online. Besides that it’s very simple to play! It is a bit longer than a metal flute. So I highly recommend this for flute for beginners and musicians who want to try a bamboo flute Keep on playing!!

Quality Dizi and Excellent customer service! 10/10
Beautiful bamboo flute! Sound from the flute sounds like a professional Dizi! Would recommend 10/10! Customer service is amazing as my flute cracked but I contacted the seller and they immediately took care of it and gave me a refund. (Make sure to oil and place the Dizi in the plastic bag it comes with to prevent cracking!)

Nice looking instrument
Not sure about the key, was supposed to be "C". The notes produced (as measured by my Korg tuner set to a=440) don't seem to correspond those listed on the chart for key of C (or any other key for that matter). But it's good looking, has an interesting tone and better overall than what I was expecting for the price. By the way, the membrane supplied must be used in order to get the buzz(?) tone sound. Use of scotch tape or whatever other material, as suggested by one of the youtube blurbs, results in a normal flute tone. (The membrane hole does need to be blocked for it to work at all however.)

GREAT BUY
I'm happy I bought this! The sound quality is good, and it's great for a beginner. A great buy for the price since it's user friendly, and I like the other items it came with. It arrived safety and looks much better than the picture.

Bought three, unexpected fluke.
I have purchased three of these. It seems the Chinese "key" is not the lowest note (all holes closed), but the fourth note. That was true for the F (which is actually a C) and the C (which is actually a G). Using that math I thought a G would be a D, but alas, it is an E flat... so I honestly don't know how to get a flute tuned to D which is what I really needed. Sound is good for the price, perfectly playable. Better than other cheap wood/bamboo flutes I have bought.

missing or unintelligable instructions for usage...
This product is not what you think... it requires assembly without the use of instruction in the English language... the pictures of instructions are so small they are impossible to implement ... from now on, I have received too many products from Asia which are broken ( outdoor solar lighting) or overpriced (seat cushion). The assembly uses a thin parchment for you to affix with a water soluble glue which does not hold up. The parchments are old and they tear or crumble into pieces with the wind... you cannot even get started with this flute... been on the shelf too too long.

Really good dizi!
So i didn't expect much from this price point, so i bought this one out of all of them and it came exactly as said, 3pm two day delivery. the case had a wierd smell but alot of cases do, the membrane is hard to put on mainly because it's so small you gotta have steady hands, but once you do it sounds amazing. took my 3 tries and it worked! i formally also play shinobue (japanese bamboo flute) and a bansuri (nepali bamboo flute) and this one was really amazing too. it also looks nice, the only odd things was that the inside of the metal connectors were dirty, and that one of the postitions sounds different than other flutes, like half a step off? but that may just be since it's a diff flute. i could instantly play it and everything came in intact. definitely recommend! i might post pictures when i can. i got the C key and the normal bitter bamboo one.

Great flute!
I have played this flute alot. You don't have to apply the crazy difficult membrane thing. Any kind of tape will do. Good flute. I explored other Chinese flutes. I have fallen in love with the sound. I've been playing fife also. Playing the Dizi makes the fifes seem easy. Cover the holes! You have to figure that out. But basically it is like a tin whistle, just a more mellow, sweeter tone. I love it! All the Chinese flutes are a good thing. (I am a rock and roll American.) Buy one of these.
