Levy's Leathers PM14-WAL Genuine Leather Banjo Strap with Sheepskin, Walnut

Quality and fit perfect

After figuring out how to shorten this strap for my 5 foot tall frame and still keep the padded shoulder strap over my shoulder, I was very pleased when I tried it on with attached banjo. The sheepskin (I wonder, is it really sheepskin or synthetic??) provides the padding I need to hold my heavy banjo on a shoulder that has had surgery in the past. What a relief! I originally had a Lakota cradle strap on there with no padding and I couldn't stand it after an hour or so. (The Lakota strap is great, and I like its design much better than the Levy's. The Lakota cradle is one long strip and not 2 like Levy's.) I put the Lakota on my light open back banjo--perfect! Anyway, I know I will love this Levy's banjo strap. The ONLY thing I am not happy about is the color. I ordered it in Walnut to go with my Bishline walnut banjo, but instead of matching, it it much more orange-ish than I would have expected. It sorta sticks out there instead of blending into the instrument. I wish I had ordered it in brown instead.

This is a great strap but it was way too long for a banjo. I had to remove one of the leather straps to shorten it enough to be usable. The length is the exclusive reason for the four star review. Other than the length I love the strap.

I like it because it makes my banjo more comfortable to play., even when sitting. It’s comfortable on my shoulder and neck. The price is right also.

Missing one of the strings, double checked ALL the packaging, 100% sure I can't use it without using one of my own. See screenshotKinda disappointed :\

Easy to put on the banjo and comfortable to wear. I had put an old guitar strap on my banjo, but that hurt my shoulder over time - too thin. This strap was much much better, super comfortable with the sheepskin padding makes it easy and comfortable to wear for a long time. Very please with my purchase.

I have two major issues with this product:1. This banjo strap is very (VERY) clearly not genuine leather, and the sheepskin seems synthetic. I am no expert in either but I have many products made from both and this one just seems extremely cheaply made. The "sheepskin" is glued onto the strap and sheds a good deal.2. More importantly, this strap did not fit between the brackets and body of my banjo. I bought mine used so I'm not 100% sure what model it is but it's a 5 string fender and not at all abnormally shaped.I'm thoroughly disappointed and $40 poorer due to this bad purchase.

This is one of the best decisions I’ve made this year! I’ve been playing for 45 years, and I can say with confidence that this is the best strap I’ve ever owned. Since banjos are heavy, my last strap would leave me bruised. This strap is so comfortable! I can play longer without having to take breaks. I watched the video about setting it up. Installing the strap was easy-peasy. I’m really impressed with the quality, the comfort, and how strong this baby is.

Really nice and good quality strap. I would but again and will buy more Levy straps in the future.

A nice soft leather belt very comfy and with a couple of chicago screws fits my banjo just fine,A great belt at a good price,

It was a tight fit (both width and thickness), but worked without modifying the strap. It also fit in my Yorkville hardshell YBC-5H case easily while leaving it attached (with a little bit of thought on how to place it in the case). I read reviews that said it didn't fit on this model, so I almost didn't get it. I looked at the specs and took a chance. It could be that it was a newer model Banjo. If the leather had been thicker it may not of worked with my Banjo. The specs don't show the thickness of the leather so that could be a factor if there's much variation.A very comfortable strap, so glad I got it !
