Love the Shoes, musings on my experience with sizing
These sandals protect your feet pretty well, around the house and on trails. They are not as good in that respect of course as solid hiking shoes, but they are an alternative, especially for summer. I will say no more on that, other than after wearing them now for 3 or 4 months I have really grown fond of them, and I am particular about my shoes. Open toe sandals are comfortable, but banging your toes is not, nor is hurting yourself because you wore an unstable shoe. Regarding sizing, my foot is a 12, a pretty standard foot I would say. My foot measures 11 1/4 inches, exactly at the standard size 12 length. I have several pair of these sandals now, both in size 12 and 13. Both sizes work fine for me. I actually think I prefer the 12's, they are a bit more solid on my foot. I expect to wear the 13's more often when it is cold with socks, to give me a little more space. But I can wear the 12's with socks just fine. I have not trouble putting the 12's on or taking them off, just push your foot all the way in and the heel strap will slide on easily. They stretch out after you have worn them awhile, I can't tell much difference between wearing a 13 and a 12. In fact to test myself I put on a pair not knowing the size (I have the same color in both sizes). I guessed that I was wearing the 13 and I was incorrect, I was wearing the 12. I have also walked around with a 12 on one foot and a 13 on the other. I found no major difference between the two feet. I also have the leather version in size 12, they seem just a little bigger than the polyester but not enough to matter much. In summary, at least for me, the issue people have about sizing is very overblown. I would get a 12 1/2 if it existed, but I have often felt that way with other shoes. For me it is either a 12 or 13, and generally I prefer the 12. I have enough toe room in the size 12 of these sandals, they fit fine, around the house, walking trails with my dogs, and of course in the water. They really do dry out fast, If they get wet I just let them dry and put on a different pair. 5/5/23....I still feel the same after wearing these pretty much constantly for a few months. You may think that there is not enough toe room because you may feel some sensation at the toe at times. My bigger sized 13's have that same sensation, that is just due to the rubber caps at the toe. I feel no pressure on my toes walking down steep hills, that is the acid test for toe room. I definitely prefer the 12's to the 13's. They stretch out and the 13's can feel just a bit loose. But the 13's are fine, I can wear either with no complaints. 6/26/23...Still feel the same, I have a pretty standard size 12 foot, size 12 in this shoe works well for me. I have size 13 as well but will use those with socks when it is cold, I like the better stability of the size 12. I really love these shoes. I put on an open toe sandal yesterday for the first time in awhile, yeah more comfortable, but banged my exposed foot twice, and that hurts. I am sold on the closed toe. You have to take the shoe off when you get little pebbles or something inside the shoe, but they slide off and on easily. Great in the water, I have never had pain from banding my foot walking the trails with my dogs since I started wearing them, and they really have good support. Dry quickly after being in the lake.

Excellent Shoes for Adventurous Toddlers
These shoes are perfect for the crazy, fun loving toddler. They fit well and are easy to get on and off thanks to a single velcro strap at the top. The rest of the shoe's fit is done via a durable cord with cord lock. The fit is excellent. The functional design of the shoes is fantastic. If you know about the adult Keen, then you are aware of the great design. The shoes have protected toe boxes and are equally effective in and out of water. The shoe transitions from trail to water and back to trail without issue. The shoes have good support while also having good cushioning. They dry quickly and are always comfortable, evan after getting wet. I've worn mine all day at water parks, in and out of the water and my feet were comfortable all day. The kids shoes have some small adjustments to make them even better and safer for kids, one is the velcro strap I mentioned earlier. The other is that the heel is enclosed and protected, where the adult shoe has an open heel. This keeps sticks and rocks from fining your toddler's soft heels while they play. My toddler also wears his all day at the water park, and is running around the yard at full speed that afternoon. He has worn them at the park and the closed heel design keeps the multch shards from getting into the shoes. The box toe design has plenty of space for my toddler's feet to flex and work without being squeezed or pinched. As a parent, I've had my toddler get shoes soaking wet by jumping in puddles, then we have wet shoes and socks the rest of the day until we get home, but these Keen are perfect all day shoes, no matter how many puddles he jumps in, or whatever he climbs or experiences at the playground or out shopping with us. I cannot recommend these shoes highly enough, especially if you find them on sale.

Walk a Mile in My Keens.
Update: 6/28/16 - I have had these water shoes for 10 months. I wear them regularly for outdoor water activities, at the beach and for pool aerobics (see below). The fit is still snug but comfortable. Sometimes I wear these around the house and out in the community when I'm doing errands in lieu of shoes (I hate flip-flops and I'm too old for hippy sandals). The uppers take a couple of hours to fully dry out, but at that point their off my feet anyway. Very glad I purchased these. Oh, yeah, they float, too! I really like these H2 water shoes. They offer good support, are comfortable and, so far, durable. I have a high instep/arch and a wide foot, but they are comfortable and fit as I expected. I wear them always without socks. They fit snugly (without being tight), and I personally find them easy to swim in and to tread water. I bought them chiefly for kayaking, because the rubber toe cap gives more protection than open-toed or "soft-toed" (open mesh) water shoes if you're wet-footing in lakes or rivers. I chose them over Merrells (my other favorite shoe company) for this reason. The sole is reasonably thick and comfy, and the tread offers fairly decent traction on hard surfaces as well as on muddy or rocky bottoms. I live in Florida, and I wear them at the beach instead of sneakers, flip-flops or barefoot, so they get sandy and salty. I also wear them for pool aerobics (so they get high chlorine exposure). I just rinse them off in fresh water to get sand, salt, chlorine and odor-causing "stuff" out of the material. The "uppers" thicker than you might expect, so it takes a few hours for the shoes to dry if they're not sitting in the warm sun. Keen makes a quality product and these are definitely worth the money.

Keens are always a keeper
I got these keens for my son and he really likes them. These keens are great quality, they are the perfect summer time sandal for kids, because they are closed toed making a great running shoe on the playground, on the beach, and you can even wear them in the water! The blue fabric is a little more darker than pictured however, my son and I both agree that the fabric looks way better.

Sturdy, Comfortable, and Practical
I've had the same pair of Keen H2's for probably10 years. I have abused them and they are still extremely sturdy. The quality of construction and materials is impressive. While they are sandals, I considered them to be 3-season shoes when worn with socks. If the weather is dry I love wearing them with Merino wool socks in cold weather because they allow my feet to breath. They have comfortable insoles, good arch support and the wide, protected toe-box is highly effective at protecting both the shoe and the wearer. I am an adult male with small, wide, flat feet. I bought these because I am able to wear boys size 6 which is considerably less expensive than men's' sizes. I would say the quality of the boys shoe is comparable to men's but the length of the Velcro strap that secures the top of the tongue is nearly too short for my wider foot. This shouldn't be an issue for children with narrower feet. I can still wear them but now socks are out of the question. I have to say this style of Keens is one of the best value shoes I have ever purchased.
