3" x 1/2" NPT Threaded Stainless Steel Thermometer Moonshine Still Condenser Brew Pot Mash Tun

I went through just about every similar thermometer on Amazon, and this is the one that stood out to me. From the pictures provided by the seller it looked like a well built solid product, and then it was delivered.. and it was much better than expected. It is heavy, appears to be sealed will and responds fast. Giving into my childlike nature, I held it in my hand, grasping it by the probe end. It went from the ambient temperature in my house (78, accurate on the face dial) to 94 degrees (external skin temp) verified by a thermo scanner. I know not exactly a scientific method, but accurate enough for me. The only thing I would change is maybe a longer probe to get deeper into the product. But in all honesty, after weighing the pros and cons for a couple of weeks on multiple products, this is the one I choose. I plan to buy another soon to monitor another part of my project.

Works perfectly. the dial is larger than I expected, which is for the better since it is easy to read and looks cool. NPT fittings are as advertised and fit well with a female copper fitting

This is a well constructed and substantial thermometer. I use it on my "water" still (screwed into a welded female adapter) and the temps are dead on. Highly recommend.

Not accurate at all. No way to calibrate the thermometer. Accurate at low temps but is around 20 degrees low as you approach boiling.

Seems ok at higher temps but at lower temps it seems to be off and doesn't adjust well.

We used this on our pool solar panel waterline. Lets us know what the temperature is exiting the panels going into the pool. Works great!

Bought two, one leaks from the back. Dial has about 1/4 inch of wort in it. Guess you get what you pay for. Replaced them with Blichmans.
