New York Design at Home Hardcover – Illustrated, March 26, 2019

Beautifully photographed with interesting and thought-provoking text about the ethos and process that went into each home. A variety of styles, moods, and inspired personalization of one's own space. This has instantly become a favorite of mine, and one I'll be enjoying again and again.

You can see different and detaıled styles of variety of the houses ın one book..Many of the good shoots and much more thıngs in to get inspiration..

Loved this book! and as the title and content implies, it is about personal style of the designers featured. It's not a book on Cookie Cutter-Page 42-HGTV design. People who complain “it’s not my style” are correct. To quote Gloria Vanderbilt "Decorating is autobiography".

Although this is a beautiful book with lovely, professional photographs, and many of them, it was NOT as advertised at all. The promo implied the book was about young, new designers who were on a budget with small(er) places than the coffee table books we see about Park and Fifth Avenues. With the exception of two modest homes, the book is full of expansive and very expensive apartments with the thing I most detest: constant name dropping about products and objects to the point that it reads as nothing more than an expensive advertisement. I returned it and was very glad to do so.

This book is one of the better ones I purchased over the last couple of years. Interesting text with amazing photography. Also there are enough pictures of each residence that you really get the sense of place. Are all the designers' homes to my taste? No. But that's not the point. This book gives a great cross section of New York-based designer homes. And even when the decor isn't my cup of tea, there are still elements that are inspirational/aspirational. Highly recommend.

Nice coffee table book

I really like this book. Each of the 20+ sections with a designer starts with a short description of how they came to live where they are and what their vision was. Then, there are different pictures of their place. The pictures are beautiful and the text very interesting. Since designers tend to be less 'crazy rich' then what we see in design magazines and books, what we see here is more realistic of what we can actually pull off in our own home. The homes feel functional and well lived in with a lot of flair. Excellent coffee table book!

This book is a decorating must......the pictures - so many and in full colour say it all! I am so glad that I ordered this book.I absolutely love it and am getting such great ideas......it is so much fun just to look through with a glass of wine in hand.Ruth Irwin
