Hammerhead Evolution^2, Aluminum Barrel Speargun, Made in Hawaii

Package arrived earlier than expected.I was contacted by the seller for a free body upgrade because some inventory issues, and can't be more happy about it.This is a beautiful speargun and it comes rigged to perfection. Very light and modern.Update after some use,Very well balanced speargun. Front is more buoyant to compensate for the European handle, and feel very stable when aiming. Plenty of power even with one band. Do you know that "thunk" sound an arrow makes when hitting a target? It's the first time I hear that underwater.You can see a side by side comparison in the picture to my old AB Biller 42 special.

I love the gun, the open muzzle is very accurate because you never lose sight of your target. It takes some practice to get used to running the line and you can’t shoot without it because it holds the shaft in place. As noted by someone below, it’s difficult to draw so unless you are strong and have long arms I’d consider opting for a lighter band. It’s got more than enough power to still shoot well.

So far, so great. I had originally ordered a 100 cm, and after receiving it, I realized that is was too big. I returned it for free and ordered this 65 cm and it arrived in 2 days with free shipping!It’s beautiful and clean. The grip is incredibly comfortable. Have not been able to shoot it quite yet, but I will update this review when properly used.

I used this gun about 4 times before I broke. Spear no longer loads and stays with safety Engaged. Feel super cheap and absolutely not worth the price. Return wasn’t possible after 30 days so test as soon as you get this gun

The bands needed replaced very quickly after using only 2 times however they are pretty cheap to replace so not a deal breaker. Caught dinner with this bad boy a couple times already and they sent the coolest hat which was a nice surprise. Thanks!

Straight from the box to the water and shooting dots, great spear gun for the price very happy I chose hammerhead!

I bought this gun to use in freshwater rivers to shoot carp. The gun looks great and is easy to use. One of the hooks on the muzzle that holds the line in place broke on less than 5 trips out. It is still usable but I have to load it left handed and use the left handed hook. Not a deal breaker and still a great gun but very dissappointed. The spear locking mechanism also jams fairly often or doesn't release properly.

Did only three dives with the Hammerhead EVO, and it is accurate at a target approx. 15 ft. away (double sling). The gun is not really easy to load, but that was to be expected. Enjoyed open ocean diving more, now that I know the accuracy level.
