Loved the product, it 100% stops grass from growing up around the heads until they disappear below ground. Only one minor negative aspect to this design, they are a process to install. However, I believe the results over time will far out weigh any work I had to do to install them. I installed 17 heads, and the exiting line were 9" below ground, so I had some digging to do.

I've used one so far with satisfactory results. It was easy to cut to the diameter I needed and very easy to install. Since I just reseeded the area around the sprinkler that was frequently clogging from the dirt/mud, I am anticipating this will be an acceptable fix. Only complaint is the price for the perceived cost. I estimate the cost to product the 7 Sprinkler Buddies to less than $5. However, I do not fault the inventor in wanting to make money from his/her effort.

I had a problem with the extremely healthy zoysia grass lawn that I installed on my lawn about 3 years ago in Northeast Florida - the grass wouldn't stop overgrowing the green donuts I installed to protect my sprinkler heads. I found it difficult to locate my sprinkler heads when the water was off and the water flow was often blocked by the grass if I didn't cut it short every week. The sprinkler buddy's are easy to install and they're very effective. I was skeptical at first, but after using the first package of 7 sprinkler buddy's I bought a second package to finish my lawn with. This item is well worth the cost - and they were delivered in just 2 days despite the fact they were not sold under the Amazon Prime Membership program. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase.

I recommend only purchasing this product if the sprinkler screws into the waterline from the bottom and not from the side. If it screws in from the side, you’re gonna have to dig an enormous hole around the sprinkler in order to spin the sprinkler back onto the waterline once it has this product on it. Halfway through doing just one I realized this was literally more effort than just buying a simpler product that doesn’t require, you unhook the entire sprinkler body. If they modified the product to where you could put it on and reattach it without having to actually uninstall and reinstall the sprinkler head that would be worth it because frankly it’s a lot easier when the waterline attachment is at the bottom of the sprinkler head, but even so the fact that you have to Remove the sprinkler and then hope you screwed it back on correctly so that water doesn’t leak out and you didn’t tighten it too much and crack the piping. It’s just a big hassle that isn’t worth it. I’m gonna try the grass hole product hopefully that doesn’t turn out to be a fail also

They work well to keep the grass from growing on the sprinkler heads....tedious to install!!!!

A solid product that keeps me from running over the sprinklers with the mower and also keeps the grass away that can block and clog them. I installed these pretty quickly over the cheap rainbird pop ups by just unscrewing the tops and fitting them over. It's easier than digging everything up and looks nicer in the end. A solid product that I ended up ordering more of.

Smart design and works well. I thought the plastic might detract from the look of the lawn but it does not. Bit of a pain to install, digging down to remove sprinkler head to install the Sprinkler Buddy. After installing 14 of them, my hands ached for days (I'm 67). Very expensive for a plastic product but probably worth it in the long run. Only comes in bundles. It would be nice if you could buy single ones since the number of sprinkler heads may not match the number of Sprinkler Buddies in the bundle.
