They arrived as expected, just in time for the New Year! I like that they have the year of the Rooster depicted on each envelope in such high-quality gold lettering. I also like how the envelope will fit full size bills without having to fold them. The envelope is stiff, like from card stock and the red is just the right amount of glossy.The only problem is that I ordered the 18 envelope pack, and that is way too much for me (I don't have 18 ppl to give lucky envelopes to). Other people might not have this problem. I've also seen people do cool arts and crafts with these lucky red envelopes like make paper lanterns by fastening envelopes together. Each set of different designs was wrapped in its own protective wrapping and they were all in another plastic covering. I was however, turned off by the plastic covering that carried all the envelopes. It was dirty and parts of it looked as if it had been chewed by a critter trying to get at the paper. There were small black things in it as well. I am not embarrassed to use the envelopes. The paper is a bit more like card stock, very heavy duty. When I ordered them, it was the Year of the Rooster, and all of my envelopes had a rooster on them. The printing is high quality, some of it is in gold foil, some of it is in red foil. However, I do not read Chinese, so I cannot speak for what is written on the envelope.
