It's a long runner, and I've washed it twice. Approximately 24" of the side edging threads are gone. It's OK for me because it's under my cabinet, but if it was in a hallway, it would be no bueno! It washes very well. Attracts dog hair like crazy. It was a tiny bit difficult in attaching it back to the base after washing, but not too bad since it's a long runner. If it were an 8'x10', it would definately take some work and/or two people. It's basically like velcro, but nicer. Although it's serving it's purpose, I don't think it was worth $110, but then again, how much $ would I spend on rugs that I wash that aren't washable (short life). It adds character to my new trailer the top separates from the rubber backing so you can throw it in the wash. The top is easy to attach back on the rubber backing each time I clean it. I've laundered it 4 times now and it keeps its shape. The low-profile rugs work well for our home, easy to tidy (with a broom or vacuum cleaner on lowest floor setting) and spills are not instantly absorbed into the rug so clean up is easy. For us, it took about 15-minutes to situate the pad and unroll the rug to be evenly distributed.
