It can secure absorbent dressings to wounds and has a similar hold to medipore take but is easier to put on and much more gentle to remove. The size is just right for a MOHs skin cancer surgery on my shin. They are so much nicer than OTC bandages, which were not quite large enough to cover a small surgical wound and either did not stick well or were painful to remove.
