Perfect for me, my skin, my wallet and the planet!
Super product! I love the idea of waxing but I could never wax successfully and stress free (I first started with Veet strips, that left bruises on my skin and was a nightmare to clean up afterwards. I then found and tried sugar wax recipes online: they worked really well, but they take so much time for an uncertain result).I was looking for something that was healthy, easy to use and cheap, and found it all in this kit! The added touches of sustainability with the cotton strips and just the natural recipe made this even more perfect. As I explained, I’m really not a pro in waxing and had maybe done it like 4 times in my life before trying this, and I managed to use it with no problem. Works perfectly on the legs (as seen in my beautiful picture). A bit less perfect on the armpits, and I bled a little but that’s because my hair had become so thick from all the shaving so I’m not too worried about that, pretty sure the next few times will be fine. I am yet to try on my bikini area but I’m looking forward to it (whereas I dreaded this part with other waxes). One pot of wax can probably last for only one waxing of each of these accumulated body parts (so both legs, armpits as well as bikini in total once). The only negative point that I have found is that since the strips and applicators are reusable, I don’t really need to buy the full kit again, but I can’t seem to see an option of just buying the sugar wax for my next “session”. It would be a shame if I always had to buy the full kit, as the whole point of it is that its components are reusable. The other small issue was just that my room temperature was never enough so I had to go heat up the wax a few times during use, but I assume that it’s because of the general UK weather (I believe this is an Australian product so it’s normal that their room temperature is hotter).

Great wax for sensitive skin!
Was paying for waxes and got this to try as my skin was lifting with my waxer. I have really sensitive skin. This is perfect, warm for 10 seconds and apply in the direction of the hair, place strip and pull off. You can squeeze the strip together to reuse the strip on a different part of the leg or go over something you’ve already done. I’m really pleased and would buy again wish the pot was bigger though I think you would struggle to do full leg, underarm and bikini from one pot but time will tell

Easy to use for beginners
As a self waxing beginner, I honestly didn't know what to expect. re: my legs - I always go to a lady that gives me the basic full leg and bikini wax. I'd say my pain threshold is slightly above average, so much so, I was able to do this by myself. I've used wax strips before now, but usually, they've been to only do my ankle area so my leg hair doesn't peep through the gap between my socks and pants! The product itself comes as described - a tub of wax, the sticks to apply, the cotton strips to remove, and a bar of 'pre-waxing' soap. I followed the instructions by cleansing my legs first. The wax itself wasn't warm enough to scoop up on the stick - so I popped it in the microwave for 15 secs. I found as I went along, that the consistency needed to be runnier than I initially thought and I needed to keep popping to the microwave to keep it runny enough to apply the right amount. Having watched several youtube videos of self waxing, I'd seen how to dip the stick, scoop it up and apply - and it worked as it should. Bearing in mind that I had full lockdown leg hair length- the wax removed it all from the root. I'd say the pain itself is the exact same as you'd get from a salon using normal wax and in my opinion. I've also seen reviews of this product where a lady uses her fingers to apply as a sugar wax would normally be applied - so perhaps this product is more versatile than you'd expect?!?!? I am just a beginner and my technique reflects that!My legs were left red and blotchy - which is normal for me. Any residue came off in the shower straight after, and my legs this morning were lovely and soft. This is where the product stands out for me. There was little to no residue in the first place, and my legs recovered quicker than from 'normal' wax at a salon. Finally, the pot itself only did half my legs - so from the knee down. I would need a bigger pot for a full leg!Overall - id recommend this product, but would stress to read and follow the instructions - no short cuts! esp when using the microwave to heat and then put on your skin!

I would love a refund for this waste of money
I'm an experienced waxer, I use a hard wax and heater. However, I'd read about sugaring and watched a few videos and was intrigued to try something that's supposedly gentler, less painful (although I find hard wax fairly painless) and supposed to cause less ingrown hairs.Firstly after researching sugaring techniques and learning that it's supposed to be applied against the direction of the hair growth and pulled off with the hair growth, I was surprised to find the instructions on this product were the same as waxing (applied with growth, pulled off against). I was under the impression that the reason ingrown hairs are less likely with this is because of the direction the sugar is supposed to be pulled, meaning that it will encourages hair re-growth in its natural direction.Secondly, the consistency was too thin and sticky. Not runny enough to apply for strip waxing and not hard enough to use for the ball and flick method. And there's no way I'm heating it up, I might as well use my normal wax. Lol. It's also has left my skin sore, bruised and red and barely took the hair out of the root.It arrived mostly stuck to the foil lid so a lot of product was lost.I would love a refund because this is awful and a complete waste of money, but as I've opened it to try it I'm not sure how likely that will be.
